Nobody wanted Ben Arfa after he was such a biatch at Lyon and OM both.  Cabaye was a decent player, but not highly rated.  No France NT pre-lists, let alone call ups until he went to Newcastle. Newcastle was just very opportunistic and good for them.

Thauvin wants the big time... that's why he wants out of Lille and is pushing for OM.  I highly doubt he goes to any second tier team anywhere.  Arsenal, OM, Dortmund (who were interested), Milan, Roma probably, etc all have a shot.  Sure one of those will pick him up.

Not really what i meant.... but anyway better clubs than us were interested and he convinced them be selling them lies about style of football.

Especially with Ben Arfa you have to realise when we signed him initially we just got promoted from the Championship.

Anyway as i said in my initial post i doubt we would sign him but i can hope and we are the only ones being linked at the moment.

So what? Its Southampton they are not a major force in England, hell they were in League 1 3 years ago.

What ever you want to slice it, for a mid table/relegation team to take a striker from Roma is very good for them.

There is nothing here where you can laugh at the PL for, not like Man Utd or buying him or anything.

In fairness, Giaccherini wasn't really being used well at Juventus. He's a better LW/LM than LWB. He's simply not defensively sound enough. There were better options in the form of Asamoah, De Ceglie , and Peluso that all offered more in defense. He went to a team where he'll be used in his best position and relied upon as a MAJOR contributor. Hardly surprising...

Yes..Sunderland offered him 3 times more than the wages he was earning at Juve..He was never going to make that sort of money had he stayed at Juve or any other mid-table Italian club.

how is there no difference between southampton and money clubs? they earned all this money by staying in the premier league and getting there share of the TV money....they play the games and stay in the league so they earned every dollar of it.
