Which player do you think will have the best season?
Re: Serie A Scout Watch 13/14
Balo has been poor this month, missing games due to suspension and even when he has played he's looked poor.
Pogba had a very good match against Napoli last week. He's been quite good this month.
Although Napoli lost 3-0, Insigne was their best player and was a threat every time he had the ball.
Immobile and Ljajic have been quite good. Jorginho has performed well for Verona and Iturbe is doing very well. Zaza hasn't been that bad either.
MDS and SES have been injured for the past month, but they should come back after the international break.
Kovacic is doing well when he has played, Icardi has been a rotation option and Taider has done fine for Inter.
And last, but not least..
The immortal and forever young, Javier Zanetti made his come back last week

Really impressed with Berardi. Thought Zaza would be the star but Berardi is the man, very though Zaza is doing pretty good.
Shout out to Roma, all of Strootman, Pjanic and Florenzi have been outstanding. Jedvaj has not played yet.
Disappointed at the Sampdoria duo of Gabbiadini and Petagna, thought they would score a decent amount of goals by now.
All of Udinese have been below par, this includes Muriel and Badu.

Great read on Berardi. Never knew he wasnt at an academy till the age of 15! Thats an amazing story.
I voted for Pogs initially and i still think he will have the better season than the rest on the list but Berardi is shaking things up in Serie A. Hope we dont loan him out to Serie B clubs next summer and he stays with us.
The new Del Piero that Giovinco never was

Cristante was given his first start today and he has scored a brilliant long range goal.
In other news Stephan El Shaarawy is out for 10 weeks with a broken foot.

Great thread.
I like also Antei ( Sassuolo )
a bit disappointed about the season of Muriel so far, I thought it would have been his year .. bought to fantasy team also

Iturbe is not even in the poll
40 year old Balo should be removed from that list.

If Ogbonna is considered a young prospect, then Balo is too

Re: Serie A Scout Watch 13/14
and who would have imagined a similar season played from Immobile ( same year of Balotelli) ?
maybe he could be considered for WC also .. if all consider the Italian-Argentine Osvaldo...

All jokes aside,Balotelli cannot be considered a young talent anymore. He is already a known player and most people are well aware of his strengths and weaknesses.
The essence of this thread is to discuss about the upcoming talents in the league and to frank there have been quite a few this year.Thats where the focus should be on imo not the established young players.

Re: Serie A Scout Watch 13/14
As if anyone actually expected Hellas to be in 6th place or Iturbe to star... Same applies to Jorginho..
Anyways, Iturbe joined in deadline day and the thread was made in the end of July. I listed the best players from last season and the players I 'expected' to do well this season.
If a mod can edit the poll with different names that would be better, agree?

Re: Serie A Scout Watch 13/14
Calma, i was just messing around :
But yes, i think the thread needs a sort of mid year update. With the emergence of Berardi, Iturbe, Jorginho.
And Erik Lamela should be removed also

Re: Serie A Scout Watch 13/14
Well the point of the thread was to discuss U23 players who play in Serie A and to follow there progress during the season. Established or not.
If you think we should focus on the lesser known talents, then I'll start in that direction I guess.

What's up with Muriel? Has he been injured, because every time I check Udinese line-ups when they play he's not playing for them.

He's been injured since the end of November, due to a hamstring injury. Should be back in the middle of Jan.

Re: Serie A Scout Watch 13/14
I just felt there's no point in having the likes of Balotelli in the poll because you just know most people are going to vote for him.The same would apply to Pogba in a year or two.But as you wish.We can still do without a poll as well, its not really necessary in my opinion.

Replaced Balo and Lamela with Jorginho and Iturbe.
Who else needs to be replaced/added?

He has scored more goals in only match than Osvaldo in whole league.
Prandelli, take notes.
