It's been reported that Aldair specifically chose Strootman to wear his number. I personally think there's more to it than that, but yeah...ambitious indeed.

I agree.
Great signing for you guys, definitely fixed the midfield with DDR and Bradley already there. Pjanic is still at the club, too. You guys have arguably the best midfield in Italy behind Juventus imo.
