Juve and Antonio Conte blocked Isla's transfer to Inter

The transfer of Mauricio Isla to Inter from Juventus has been put on hold due to Antonio Conte’s doubts over the move.
The two sides appeared to have reached an agreement that would have seen the Chilean move to Inter for €6.8 million plus bonuses.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that just when it appeared the deal would be made official, Juventus coach Antonio Conte has put the move on hold as he wants to be certain that Isla will be replaced in the squad.

The tactician does not want to let the 25-year-old leave until he is certain that Napoli winger Juan Camilo Zuniga will join the Bianconeri, meaning talks for the Chilean have been brought to a standstill.

Isla joined Juventus from Udinese on a co-ownership deal last summer but struggled to find his fitness after coming back from a serious knee injury suffered while with the Zebrette.

Conte wants to make sure he has a replacement for him? Currently, Conte uses him as third option (sometimes fourth after Caceres) at RWB with Padoin as the number two option. If Isla stays with the team, Conte better use him as Licht's backup. Otherwise, we may have missed a good opportunity to get some of our money back.
