FIFA 13 PS3 Pro Clubs

Yeh most of the pros are small and the CPU tall players probably won't be in the box due to being DM's.

Unless of course it's ground crosses that are attempted.

Plus being the striker, it'll be me who ends up being the target. Which brings me on to another thing. If you're small and the ball is being crossed. Stay comfortably out of the box, the crossing system tends to lock on to small people in bad positions


Firen. What crossing settings are you on. If you're on automatic, change to semi or vice versa.

5 at the backs only their to stop the pacey players/stop conceding cheap goals. Not purely because of wanting to be defensive.

No MT. I can win balls in the air. If we don't cross into the box. And I mean CROSS, not run into the box and cut it back, then when we play teams that have 7 people lined up in the middle, we will never win short of luck.

So we need to cross, when there's only space on the wings. What's the point on having all that space on the wing when you just fake shot inside and lose the ball?

I'm telling you right now, i'm not spending a single minute of my life playing FIFA in a back 5, being bored out of my head all day long. I'd rather not play FIFA.

Yeh I guess we could try more crosses, but I think with only 1 guy in the box it could get headed out leading to an opposition counter.

In terms of 5 at the back, I guess desperate times calls for desperate measures. It's almost FIFA 14 and we need to win div 1 soon.

But 5 at the back doesn't help us.

We might stop 1 or 2 more attacks, but against the overpowered bus parking teams (Which make up 90% of D1) We're creating 0 clear cut chances a game. So how does switching to a back 5 help?

The one thing we've neglected is crossing, and that will obviously help us.

On XBOX I scored a shit tonne of goals as a 6 ' 3 Pro, so long as I get a lot of crosses. And some through balls. I'll do that again, but keep in mind i'm not rapid and it's hard to control the ball when you're massive.

Speed - Passing - short/mixed/long
Positioning - organised/free form


Chance creation -

Passing - safe/normal/risky
Crossing - little/normal/lots
Shooting - little/normal/lots
Positioning - free form/organised

Defense -

Pressure - deep/medium/high
Aggression - contain/press/double
Team width - narrow/normal/wide

I don't think there's any best style of play, you need to be reactive. I favour counter attacking and high pressure usually, but we had our best run with your possession play when we got to D1 I think. Custom stuff is probably great but I havent messed around with it since FIFA 11.

Play a 5-2-1-2 or maybe even a 5-3-2

Go attacking or defensive depending on score

In theory a back 5 would give us more defensive cover

But when there's the fact when a few of us are on, you'll be relying on an entirely human midfield to cover the back line. And it's never as good as a couple of scrub CPU ANYs, who will be in the right place all the time.

We do fine when we play well, but we need more crossing and more over the top through balls. You started doing them earlier which was decent.

Seriously they're the easiest way in on goal and it frightened me when a player was on the last man with plenty of space, how a pass was going sideways or whatever.

Look for the OTT through ball when there is space.

Been saying this since I joined, but some people just prefer to dribble rather than hit an early OTT through ball. A lot of goals we conceed they are clean through and can shoot or jew goal, we hardly have any of those because of our build up play.

No offense MT but like sometimes it feels like your just passing it with your pros and taking loads of touches with them, so that the opposition can get back and set up their defensive formation (park the bus).

Can rule me out of that one also, me and Melo most unselfish and Freeza .

If we have a simple mind set of, everyone is one entity and like think of every player as your own player then selfishness is gone. Sure a lot of the time its not fun not having the ball, but doesn't mean you have to hang onto it and try loads of shit when you do have it  .

I pass it loads, unless i'm the last man upfront because that's counter productive and lets them set up a great wall well we keep it in our own half.

When i'm in CM I pass it a lot, even though if i'm not upfront there is no runs in behind and sometimes I wait on the ball for a run, but people don't click on.


More OTT thru balls, more crosses = more chances.

Keeping possession is great, until you're in the final 3rd.

Also, when WE counter from corners. Don't hoof it or play out from the back. Every single time I will be waiting on the half way line with 2 defenders, so through ball it to me, and I will be able to just out-run them.

In club with other people I score from it all the time. Yet on here there are times when my best 'chance' is from some scrappy corner.

Made new custom tactic with faster build up and crossing. Deep defense.

Right i'm going 6'3 like I used to, don't expect me to dribble my way through or anything, but I will compete in the air.

When more people are on later i'll play.

tbf I only pass a lot and don't hog it because I don't have the finishing stats yet

I have a mic, but I can hardly hear anyone when I use it and apparently it gives off a load of feedback. My pro is only 80 finishing so annoying, it's got low FK stats but I really want to get power FK trait, so gimme the FKs  .

That's like letting Pepe take FK's when you have Ronaldo ( Tom Me) in the team. We can't waste them at this level.

Nah, one thing I do believe in - whoever wins Pens should take them. Need to get my pen stat up ffs.

I'm sick at FKs and yeah whoever wins the pens should take them. Too bad we have too many selfishes here , I actually thought that was the global standard code / unspoken but everyone knows about rule until I joined this club...

Don't really care about PK. It should go to the highest PK anyway (which it does)
