Yeah in future, if a team is parking the bus and has 7 people in the middle, infront of goal, never ever ever cut inside and try to work something.

Always cross it, because there's maybe a 3% chance you'll beat 7 people and get a shot on goal.

Best way is quick passing, dribbling vs teams that park the bus is almost impossible.

If you're cutting in when you're out wide and in space, you're pretty much selecting 'take 7 people on' as opposed to crossing and 1 in every 3 or 4 decent crosses are bound to create a chance.

You can cut in all day long but if 3/4 of a team is in a line waiting for you, you might as well boot it out in the stands for a Goal Kick.

Pretty much same except I won't play more of this crap for today.

We could try 5 at the back in div 2/1? 4 at the back makes it easier for the opposition to create chances.

5 at the back also kills our attacks, because most of the options for a pass are behind the ball, and I don't want to be marked by 4 people with nobody to link up with.

Yeh with 5 at the back the tactic is to score a lucky goal from some individual dribbling or something and take a 1-0.

Playing open, possession with 4 at the back doesn't really work against top teams with pace in div 2/1.

I refuse to spend my days running into walls of players, 5 at the back can go and f*cking kill itsself.


We do fine when we play well, but we need more crossing and more over the top through balls. You started doing them earlier which was decent.

Seriously they're the easiest way in on goal and it frightened me when a player was on the last man with plenty of space, how a pass was going sideways or whatever.

Look for the OTT through ball when there is space.

We're too greedy, lots of times the easy option is open but when one of us gets a sight of goal we go for dat glory.

Though the past couple of days I've played that hasnt been an issue because we've struggled to create chances at all.

With 5 at the back there's 2 strikers and a CAM as well for a bit of link up play.

Also even with 4 at the back formations the CF has often got isolated as well in recent games.

Seriously we've played back 5 before and lost a few games in the lower divisions. Also, kiss goodbye to crossing opportunities. Even though people are allergic to pressing square, when people park the bus you NEED to cross from out wide. In a back 5, there is no width. CPU ANY wingbacks are useless and that's it for width.


We need to be more direct. Not insanely direct. But when there's a chance to cross, for the love of god do not cut in all the time. When there's space in behind them, don't turn 180 degrees and give the ball to the CB. Put an OTT through ball over.

We got promoted to div 1 once I think with a back 5. Had a good run going.

I can't cross with my pro, no idea why, think I need to increase my curve stat its low. Also we're all relatively small and besides you I dont think I've seen any of our pros wn maybe more than 1/10 headers when contested lol

I'd rather not play FIFA 13 ever again than be part of a back 5 system. That has single handedly ruined the game at times. And i'm not playing in that defensive, disgusting system. It's not fun and not that effective either without sitting really deep and making your pro 5'2. Which I will NEVER do.

When i'm upfront i'm 6 foot and I can win air balls. It's harder from corners though.

But 1 in every 3 or 4 decent crosses will help. And like I said, when teams park the bus and we're outwide, people end up cutting in and taking on 7 people as opposed to putting a cross in. Some games we create literally 0 chances, and crossing would give us an extra dimension.

Yeh most of the pros are small and the CPU tall players probably won't be in the box due to being DM's.

Unless of course it's ground crosses that are attempted.
