Re: Serie A Stadium News Thread
UEFA inspectors have arrived at the San Paolo to inspect the stadium and give to Napoli the instructions on what must be done from now to the beginning of the UCL so that the stadium can meet all the expectations of UEFA.
Nothing big will happen, mostly small things like security updates etc.

Stadio San Paolo, UEFA inspectors arrive
For the next week there is the UEFA technical inspection. Will be drawn up a list of all the works of modernization and adaptation. The problems to be solved are numerous and in that sense there is a meeting between President De Laurentiis and the new Mayor De Magistris in unison to establish the program. The work could stretch until August so it is in doubt the planned friendly against Spain in Naples on August 10. Soon it will be formalized at the summer meeting in Trentino Dimaro from July 16 to 30, where the Napoli will play four friendly matches. The preraduno July 12 to Castelvolturno for a normal medical examinations.

Re: Serie A Stadium News Thread
I ask, does this look like a stadium that is 3 months away from the expected completion date?
This view makes you change your opinion again, no?
Many Juve fans feel there is not enough black on the outside of the stadium. Too much Italian 'tricolor' and gray.
What do you think?

Re: Serie A Stadium News Thread
Seems like Udinese will have their Champions League Stadium after all.
Google Translate, sorry. But still, from the article we can be hopeful that work can finally begin on the Fruili sooner rather than later.
UDINE.
First go-ahead from the cones and the Institute for Credit sporting
event to the path that will lead to the construction of the new stadium
Friuli. And so by
July the city council approve the agreement for the concession right to
build the duration of which may vary between a minimum of 65 and a
maximum of 99 years. As the sports credit to finance 80% of that
amounts to EUR 25 million, calls for 99-year concession, it is possible
that the Convention is appropriate at this time.
Only after getting the green light from city council, the Udinese
football entrust the task to design the new plant by 25 000 seats with
the possibility of reaching 30 000.
The inspection was made yesterday in building Aronco, the chairman of
the institute of sports credit, Andrea Cardinaletti, the chairman of the
sports facilities of the cones, Vincenzo Scionti, along with patron
Gianpaolo Pozzo, the administrative director of Udinese Alberto Rigotti,
the mayor, Furio Honsell, alderman for Public Works, Gianna Malisani,
flanked by his technical staff. The verdict is clear.
'It got the green light to move forward "and ensure Honsell Rigotti
recognizing that one of the outstanding issues is the term of the
agreement.
'The term is linked to the mathematical formulas for funding "says
Rigotti convinced that Udinese 65 or 99 years do not change much even if
the company is to come to Juventus for 99 years, in fact, the maximum
contribution . But this aspect will reason the city council.
Meanwhile, the mayor, thinking to approve the agreement by the end of
July, made it known that short-Udinese's lawyers and the City re-examine
the mechanisms to guarantee that the Bianconeri will have to ensure
building Aronco. Given that the design changes have been approved by the Credit Cones and sporty, the new plant will have a capacity of 30 000 seats also ensuring the organization of concerts. This is due to a system of rods that allows you to raise the roof. The estimated investment reaches 25 million euro.
"The cones have understood the importance of the operation, thanks to
an entrepreneur as well, which in this case is a benefactor, brings
money in the area.
It 'a unique case in Italy "says Coni Honsell suggesting that the
Institute for Credit sporty look with interest to the case Udine hoping
that other municipalities begin to imitate the capital of Friuli.
"One of the reasons why our country has not won the nomination for Euro
2012 is the problem of the stadiums," insisted the mayor before adding:
"The Cones and the sports credit they understood that we mean business
here because they are all on alert and in sync '.
At this point, Honsell expressed "great appreciation for patron Well
that in a moment of crisis, has decided to invest several million euro
in the city. It is a decision appreciated.
Google Translate, sorry. But still, from the article we can be hopeful that work can finally begin on the Fruili sooner rather than later.

Re: Serie A Stadium News Thread
Which teams there are now that are planning to build a new stadium? Cagliari, Udinese, Roma, Inter...?

Re: Serie A Stadium News Thread
Napoli too. But planning has not even begun and is still in the highly unlikely category. Udinese will have a new / renovated stadium soonest of all it seems. Then Cagliari is furthest into planning...
Re: Serie A Stadium News Thread
Palermo, step forward for the new stadium
Andrea Cardinaletti is a name that just says the most.
In fact this is the new Commissioner, and former president of Credito
Sportivo, a sort of public bank for sports dual mandate with the
Ministry of Economy. This credit is for Sport means the entity that will co-finance 50% of the construction of new stadiums owned companies.
Yesterday, Andrea Cardinaletti, speaking to the BBC said about that
"after the Juventus stadium, there are new plants coming. We have
defined the preliminary designs for three new stadiums: Udine, Cagliari
and Palermo. Overall, we are talking about an investment about 120
million euros of which the credit will finance the sport fifty percent. " A small step towards the new stadium.

The cladding of our new stadium I don't particularly like. I prefer what was originally planned, though I understand it's easy to change it around often.
I wonder what our new stadium would look like at night. Will it illuminate?

The cladding is the best part in my eyes. Very unique.
Just a taste as to what it will look like by night:
Re: Serie A Stadium News Thread
the fotos of palermos new ground for the euro 2016 looked great, i hope something is done quickly because serie a grounds look like 3rd world standerd. even the san siro needs a major facelift, looks kinda outdated now, mainy spurs fans i know who went to the ground were quite disapointed with the place, obviously inside its still grand and spectaculer but needs a lick of paint and overall a refurbishment
