Unwanted players who don't want to leave their clubs
This thread is to talk about unwanted players, players who are asked to leave by their club, but who refuse to leave and try to stay as long as possible, because they felle their place is comfortable, they are in a good club and getting a good salary:
Currently, at OL, we have 3 of these players:
Bafetimbi Gomis: The president tried to sell him the last two mercatos to Turkey and Russia but he refused. This season, we have to get rid of him or he will leave for free next summer. The president stated that he had to find a new club if he wanted to play the next WC. He also added that he was not motivated enough and did not enter the plan of the coach.
Jimmy Briand: He refused to leave for Monaco on loan last winter, and then has almost disappeared from the squad, getting 4 months out of the squad. The coach said that he was not happy with his performances and that he did not count on him. Briand said that it would be hard to find a new club as good as us and said that he would be back at training and hoped to renew... He is also in a lawsuit with the club, because the club refuse to pay him some primes.
Yoann Gourcuff: He is getting a king salary for doing nothing on the field since 3 years and won't sacrifice his wages for football opportunities. he even refused athletico last winter...

Florent Malouda. Fortunately he has left.
The most noticeable thing he did last season was learn the drums.

One of the king. Sacrified one whole year at his age, just to not lower his undeserved wages. Lame.

Re: Unwanted players who don't want to leave their clubs
Kaka
The main reason we cant sell him to other clubs is because he still think he deserve 10 mill a year salary..not his fault we offered him that type of contract but still a millionaire like kaka should be choosing playing time over sitting in the stands really.
Plus he has been a horrible professional. Club identified his knee injury and allowed a full year to rehab but he masked his injury and played in World cup only to make the injury even worse....really horrible act.

Lol, I forgot that Kaka was still a football player. Not heard about him this past two years I think.

Re: Unwanted players who don't want to leave their clubs
Arsenal have had Squillaci, Denilson, Park, Chamakh, Bendtner - all of whom have had trouble moving on (except occasionally on loan) because clubs weren't prepared to match the high wages these guys were getting at Arsenal. Arshavin probably counts here too, at the tail end of his Arsenal career - he turned down permanent moves to Fulham and Zenit, where he'd get more playing time. This seems to be the summer clearout though, thankfully.

Right now Rafinha does not want to leave even though he isn't very important.

This is the main reason of his failure at RM

Plus he'd be useful at Schalke who would love to get him back...ioilersrock448 wrote:Right now Rafinha does not want to leave even though he isn't very important.
Talking of Schalke - they tried to get rid of Albert Streit for about 3 or so years until they finally succeeded last season.

Re: Unwanted players who don't want to leave their clubs
can you actually blame any of the players for not leaving?
i mean from the cases mentioned here, most of the players are collecting a nice fat paycheck for jogging 5 times a week, i really wouldn't want to abandon that lifestyle...
