B.NEWS : Vidal asks for Juventus No 10

Arturo Vidal wants to wear the Juventus No 10 jersey next season, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The shirt hasn’t been used in Turin since Alessandro Del Piero left the Old Lady in the summer of 2012 at the end of his contract.

There were suggestions that the returning Sebastian Giovinco would be given the number, but he ultimately opted for the No 12 instead.

Sky are today claiming that the South American midfielder has asked the club to give him the 10 for the next campaign.

Vidal, who joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2011 from Bayer Leverkusen, has worn the No 22 and No 23 jerseys since his arrival.

He sure deserves it with all he's done.

And obviously he can't have No. 8

nah i dont think so, he is good with 23, imo a trequartista should wear that number.

I could see Vidal wearing that shirt though, he may not be a trequartista or even a forward, but he was Juventus' most potent offensive player last season (especially in the second half)

It would be interesting, I wouldn't complain- after all, it is just a number

and lets add the most consistent and the player who showed no fear and showed hunger

Vidal deserves the number 10, but he is more like number 8 player because he is used on the right and the 10 goes for the left side...

The number 10 should given to marchisio or jovetic ...

My personal favorite would be for Marchisio to take the 10 and Vidal to then take the 8. But Vidal having the 10 I would still like very much.

I don't believe he asked for this unless I see quotations.
either way I'd think it'd be weird for both marchisio or vidal to wear it, that's not their position. why is there such a rush for someone to wear the number 10? If Jovetic does well for and seems loyal then he can wear it in a couple of yyears, no reason to toss the #10 on him right now right away... no one needs it, it's non-sense.
