- Xavi 2008/09 (30).
- Messi 2011/12 (29)
- Mata 2012/13 (28).
- Ozil 2010/11 (28).




note: penalties won, deflected shots/passes leading to goal are excluded.

different methods to count assists; i didn't include assist to own goals or penalties won or deflected passes/shots leading to goal...

btw:
Benzema has 21 goals, 18 assists in 50 games for RM this season. (2872 mins)
Higuain has 18 goals, 8 assists in 44 games for RM this season. (2506 mins)

But then again, it depends what stat source you use. Everyone has their own method.
