Was reading some site and came across this Melisandre prophecy which she says to Arya in the TV Show but not the books. They have replaced the Ghost of the high heart with Melisandre but that prophecy seems to be something which we will come across in the next books.

"I see a darkness in you. And in that darkness, eyes staring back at me. Brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes... eyes you'll shut forever. We will meet again."

I see darkness in you means that Arya will become a faceless men.

But those eyes bit. Eyes you'll shut forever. I think That's Melisandre predicting the people Arya will kill.

Green Eyes could mean Cersei or Tommen? Blue eyes could mean Stannis?

Brown eyes could mean... Jon?

The first episode titles of the fourth season of Game of Thrones have been revealed, via HBO Latino. Additionally, the network is listing a running time for each episode.

So without further ado, the titles are:

Season 4, Episode 1: Two Swords.
Running time: 58 minutes

Season 4, Episode 2: The Lion and the Rose.
Running time: 52 minutes

Season 4, Episode 3: Breaker of Chains.
Running time: 56 minutes

Season 4, Episode 4: Oathkeeper.
Running time: 54 minutes

Firstly, BC rofl

Finished ADWD yesterday, GRRM take a bow.

I've been avidly reading this thread and the theories people have linked since, and must say that I'm certainly in the R+L=J camp, along with thinking that Jon warged into Ghost at the end, though I'm unsure if he's truly 'dead' or not as a human. Also convinced that Sandor Clegane is still alive. Also whilst I'm not a real fan of Aegon, I do feel that he's a legitimate Targaryen.

A question for everyone though, what do you think the fate of Theon in TWOW will be? Based on the behaviour of the ravens in Jon's last chapter and the excerpt of the new book about Theon, it's clear to me that Bran is growing in power as the ravens have gone from merely mimicking the speech of those around them to pre-empting thoughts and stating full names and phrases. I feel that as a still young and never malicious child, Bran's reactive instinct to restore means that he wishes to forgive and save Theon and will demonstrate his power in front of Stannis at the weirwood trees.

P.S. Davos being Azor Ahai is a goat theory.

I think we will see a big redemption arc for Theon before his inevitable death. He will help Bran and maybe work to sabotage the Boltons and the Freys. There is no way he getting his head cut off before he does something big.

On Davos being Azor Ahai, it is said that Azor Ahai was/will be reborn in fire and salt. Well in the Blackwater, Davos' ship catches fire in the sea (saltwater) and he returns while everyone thinks he is dead so Davos was reborn in salt and fire and is therefore Azor Ahai hmm

Melissandre when she finds this out rofl

You can start now. Season 3 ended on The Red Wedding and Season 4 will cover the second half of the third book and judging by the trailers, some early parts of book 4+5. My advice is to start watching the show now and finish it by April 6th so that you can start watching season 4 with us and discuss the show in the GOAT thread tongue

A fascinating read. It takes a while to get your head around and I personally feel that some details are off, at least with Melisandre, though certain characters may unwittingly end up on a side rather than consciously. It's a refreshing break from discussions that centre the end game of the series around Dany. Even if it turns out not be true, it's at least a fascinating theory and one that identifies a stunning number of parallels.

One question it raises that I had completely missed at the time was the possiblity that Jojen had been killed. I've read the debate on the forums about his fate and I'm personally 50-50 on whether I think he's been sacrificed. Sacrifice and cannibalism are huge themes of the final books, and the imagery of the chapter is frankly terrifying, however a compelling argument has been made for the fact that Jojen should have been protected by the guest right. I don't think this in itself precludes the possibility that he is no longer of the living, however it will at least cast further light on the nature of the issue and whether the children consider themselves to set the rules of the 'old gods' or follow them. The position it would put Meera in further complicates the issue, however I do believe that when Jojen was said to want to go home but to not be fighting his fate that he would like to escape the death he has seen for himself in the North but will not allow himself that freedom, rather than the interpretation that he has to head back to the Marshes in order to die. I know a lot of people are upset at the very thought of him being a blood sacrifice and that he would have died off screen, however I think there would be no issue as far as GRRM is concerned in justifying it. He has never shied away from the concept that magic and power has a price, whilst it is more important that the integrity of Bran's POV is maintained than that Jojen gets a proper 'farewell.' I really don't believe that Bran ate Jojen (and maybe Meera) even though most people who read the Jojen Paste theory firmly believe it. I just don't think that GRRM would kill of a fairly important character (the Reed siblings have been Bran's constant companions since A Clash Of Kings) in one book and then actually reveal the death in the next one. If he indeed died, it would have been explicitly mentioned in A Dance With Dragons.
