season 2 was awful. and by Killing Lily n Swede, Durant in jail and Cullen having nothing to do it seems that was last episode of this show and there is no 3rd season.

Nowhere near better than the 1st season, but this one was solid. Fav character has to be the crazy preacher. Brilliant from Tom Noonan.

To those who have watched the Fringe series: what are you thoughts on the first two episode of Fringe this season?

Re: The TV Series Thread
First was absolutely great, the second one was ok. Not bad by any means. This looks like it will be an epic season.
I started watching Parks and Recreation after someone advised me to start at season 2 (because I told him I had seen the pilot and episode 2 and I thought it was crap) and now I'm almost through all of the episodes. Thank you flue for keeping me indoors and feeling like shit.
But the show is awesome.

Re: The TV Series Thread
Only reason why I wasted hours of my life on Lost (except for the first 2 seasons) was I wanted to know how it ends. Gave up after awhile though
Right now I'm hooked on:
Dexter
Breaking Bad
How I Met Your Mother
Homeland

Lost was very interesting, but declined more and more later on...The reasons behind the weird stuff that was happening were rubbish.

Re: The TV Series Thread
Lost was incredibly hyped up before it started and during the first season. I, too, ended up watching the first season in particular and also random episodes from the second season. But the lack of realism quickly became immensily annoying and like Vibe said, the reasons behind that weird stuff were crap - if any reasons were even given.
I think it was when season 5 was airing in Finland when I was dating a girl who watched it and I had to watch a couple of episodes with her. I spent most of that time mocking the show, much to her irritation. Long story short, didn't have to watch any more Lost with her - but didn't have to keep on dating her for much longer either

Re: The TV Series Thread
Lost was epic. Thoroughly enjoyed it, except for the very last ending. The fact that you do not like sci-fi is the explanation why you don't like it. And yes, not everything was explained, but some seriously unexpected explanations did come over the course of the show. The fact that you aparently missed a big chunk of episodes is reason enough to explain why you thought it is shit. This is simply one of those shows with pretty much no real fillers, so you have to watch everything. Aboslutely worth watching if you think sci-fi elements are at least ok. If you don't, just stay away.
Btw, Walking Dead. Worst end of a season EVER. So much bullshit. Granted, the zombies look terrific, but the characters are mostly cringeworthy. I really liked the first two episodes but then it declined rapidly. Falling Skies is a show with a similar vibe (but aliens instead of zombies) but overall much better imo.

Just watched the first episode of season 8 of supernatural. can't believe how much i missed it lol. It's one of those shows u can't stop watching. I think it's pretty obvious how the whole season will play out. However The flashbacks are the most interesting part for me ( u will know what i mean when u are caught up to me )

Pfff. Crappy show is crap. Nah man, if you enjoy it keep on watching. But have you ever tried Falling Skies?
Supernatural is indeed so addicting.
- Spoiler:
The season started pretty nicely, although I would've liked it better if the whole purgatory thing had taken a bit longer. We'll probably get to see more from that in the coming episodes, but still... At the end of last season it looked like Dean was in a pile of shit of epic proportions, but now he's already back as they just skipped past a year. Bummer. Also, Bobby.
Re: The TV Series Thread
I have heard about Falling Skies but Never got the time to watch it. Perhaps one day
About Supernatural.
About Supernatural.
- Spoiler:
I was expecting the show to take it from where it finished in season 7 as well, but i guess i can understand why they did it. In this way they can last a whole season with showing flashbacks, concentrating on the new missions and also run a story with Kevin.
btw It seems like Dean really enjoyed Purgatory with the way he talks about it being "felt so right"
Also i am going to miss bobby a lot too

Re: The TV Series Thread
Falling Skies is garbage ......poor man's War of the Worlds meets District 9.
As for Lost, first 3 seasons are incredible...last 3....just ...and dat ending...goodness me....train wreck of an episode.
-------------------------------
For my part...I'm catching up on Louie....easily my favorite comedian right now....that dude is awesome and the show is fantastic. If you like black comedy, you need to check it out. Very off-the-cuff show.
I'm also watching Once Upon A Time which is a great show despite the fact that it centers around storybook characters. Takes those well known tales in a completely different direction.

Re: The TV Series Thread
Thought I was the only one watching Louie here, good to see you are McLewis.
One of the best shows on TV right now IMO, definitely the best comedy out there right now. Louie is not only hilarious, but also incorporates a lot of life themes into his episodes, and I'm often surprised at how deep some of his episodes go. Of course, some are just light and hilarious, too.'
Great to see Louie do some 2 and 3 part episode series this season, I was wondering if he could pull it off, and both Daddy's Girlfriend and The Late Show mini-series (for lack of a better term) were great.
Still need to catch up on the latter half of season 2, and the latest episode.

- The episode when he goes out on a date with Melissa Leo and then she goes off on him because he wouldn't go down on her after she blew him.....
Love how this show has some of the best comedians and actors around, but they play some understated roles....Robin Williams, Brave Scotty Parker Posey, Amy Poehler and Gaby Hoffman come to mind

Hahaha that was a great episode. I love the role that David Lynch played recently as Jack Dall in The Late Show episodes, he was hilarious.
That's one of the good things about having a very well known comedian as the overlord of his own show, though- it's really nice to see well known comedians an actors come onto the show, even if for a minor role (and it typically is).
Some unfortunate news though
Louis C.K. to Take Hiatus from FX Series Louie
Obviously I would look forward to watching it next year, but I'm also very fine with Louie taking a break. Too many shows go at a breakneck pace every year and lose their charm, if Louie wants to delay season 4 for that reason (and rest/tours of course), that's fine with me.

Louie is an awesome show, but come on, it's not even the best comedy on FX.
Season 3 was great though, he's taking more time to do season 4, it won't air until Jan or Feb 2014. But I'm fine with that if it means another great season.
