Juventus Are Yet To Look For Asamoah Replacement
By Ghana Soccernet
Reports in the Italian media claim the Montenegro international is being lined up as a replacement for the Ghana international who is subject to interest from some clubs in Italy and Spain.
This has sparked reports that Jovetic could be bought by Juventus to take over from the Ghana star.
Jovetic has been attracting interest from a host of clubs, including Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester City, as well as Juve.
The 23-year-old has been in scintillating form as he dragged Fiorentina to the cusp of a third-place finish, only to be denied by AC Milan’s victory on the final day of the season.
But Juve general manager Giuseppe Marotta remained tight-lipped when questioned about the Turin side’s potential interest in the Fiorentina midfielder.
“Joveti? is a very good player but we have not moved for him,” said Marotta.
“We have not contacted anyone at Fiorentina and I am convinced that relations with the club and the Viola are good.
“We have begun to sound out some options, but it is not yet the right time to make any announcements.
“Our goal is to complete the squad for the July training camp and we are still following a few different players.”
Joveti? has scored 13 goals in 33 Serie A appearances this season, taking his tally to 39 strikes since joining the Florence outfit in 2008.
