Re: If Suarez leaves, which club do you think he'll go to?
Shame how that back 4 that you call average conceded less than a goal a game and only City had a better defensive record.
Also shame how Walcott contributed to more goals than every offensive Chelsea player aside from Mata.
Also a shame how Arsenal got more points than any other team in 2nd half of the season and conceded less goals than anyone in that time.

that defensive record had much more to do with the midfield and the tactics than the individual talent of the back 4 players.
anyways, suarez would be a good start for arsenal's title push

Of course it does i never denied that, which is why with Wenger at the helm and if they keep the same system as 2nd half of last season signing a quality forward such as Suarez make them challengers.
Lets put it this way if Chelsea can be challengers with an unreliable defence, crap CM and no quality striker Arsenal sure as heck can.

So basically....Chesney
Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs
Arteta Ramsey
Walcott Wilshere Cazorla
Suarez
Isn't better than Chelsea? pls go
Chelsea are getting ridiculously overrated by this forum because they got Mourinho their team aint that good.
Also i'd argue its a better team on paper than Man Yoo's too if not equal.... the biggest factor Man Yoo had was Fergie and he's gone.
Walcott did well last year, but I still don't think he's good enough. They need someone better.
In terms of midfield, Ramsey isn't good enough and instead of Arteta they probably need a DM.

i still think there is too much of a gulf between the manchester clubs and everyone else for suarez to be the difference to tip the scales. but like i said suarez would be a great start, but replacing sagna and finding a more solid GK could very well be that extra sharpness they need.

Arsenal weren't challengers when RvP was there. Suarez would basically replace him.

Well, that's your opinion, but I am just not seeing where this "Arsenal can challenge for the title" talk comes from. Fact, and I do mean fact, is that they haven't challenged for the league in years and they sell their best player(s) every season so the reasoning is just not there. They might have had a good 2nd half season run, but unless they can back it up next year throughout the season, that's all that will remain, a good run. I am just not convinced by this team of losers (yp, losers) and I'd bet Wenger will complete a decade with 0 trophies.
And I'd also bet on Mourinho, who by the way doesn't need CM for his counter attack tactics, to finish ahead of Wenger this season.

Re: If Suarez leaves, which club do you think he'll go to?
Well that maybe the case but the defence is still unreliable and and their best striker is Demba freaking Ba.
Mourinho is fantastic but he isn't god.
Neither of them are contenders at the moment but adding Suarez to Arsenal will make them contenders IMO.
Besides i don't think they will stop there anyway.

Ramsey is fantastic. Finally back to his pre injury form. He will not be a starter, but is good enough for us.

Don't understand this transfer. If arsenal needs a finisher, why go for such a poor one?

Although Moyes has said Rooney's staying, I think Rooney still wants to leave. Chelsea could sign him and that'd be their top striker. Arsenal too.
Arsenal should maybe go for someone like Hulk for RW.
-------------Suarez/Rooney
-----Cazorla----Fabregas----Hulk
------------Bender---Wilshere
That team would be capable of winning the CL.

He doesn't want a finisher, but someone who is as complete as Suarez in terms of linking up, mobility, passing, vision and finishing(not clinical finishing but finishing). He is a complete package like RVP was in a way.

Really I feel after missing out on Higuain and so far only signing Sanogo, Arsenal just want to make their fans happy by signing a world class player while showing they are willing to break the bank.

I think the RW is fine, i would definitely look at a AM or LW though.
Bernard would be an excellent signing tbh.

They should make a movie called 'What Arsene wants' with George Clooney playing Arsene

The striker has told Liverpool that he wants to join the Gunners and is ready to lodge an official request engineer his departure from the Merseyside club
EXCLUSIVE
By Wayne Veysey | Chief Correspondent
Luis Suarez is preparing to submit a formal transfer request to engineer his departure from Liverpool, Goalcan reveal.
The striker has told Anfield officials he wants to leave the club and join Arsenal, who made a bid worth £42 million for him on Monday.
However, Liverpool insist that Suarez is not for sale and have let it be known to the player’s camp that he will have to lodge an official transfer request in writing in order to leave Merseyside.
Sources have told Goal that the Uruguayan is now ready do so as he steps up his plans to remove one of the obstacles to his exit.
This raises the prospect that Suarez will concede bonuses and other financial triggers but, with the player so keen to leave, Liverpool will face a decision over whether to begin negotiating a fee for his sale with Arsenal.
The Gunners lodged a second bid for the forward on Monday, made up of £35m up front and supplemented by £7m of add-ons.
This has been rejected by Liverpool but it is understood that Arsene Wenger will ‘pull out all the stops' in an attempt to land Suarez, who has become the main focus of his attention as he attempts to make a marquee striker signing.
Arsenal are believed to be confident that the Uruguayan is keen on a move to Emirates Stadium, and have now gone into completely unchartered territory to capture him.
The offer, which is comfortably a club record, is nearly double the £23.1m offer the Gunners made earlier this month for Gonzalo Higuain, who is putting the finishing touches to a £31.8m move to Napoli.
Arsenal are also preparing what is believed to be a lucrative package for a player who signed a £100,000-a-week four-year deal last summer.
Liverpool are fighting to hold on to the striker, who has spoken frequently this summer of his interest in a move, most specifically to Real Madrid. However, the Spanish giants have yet to make a bid for him and Arsenal are currently the only club in the running for his signature.
Earlier, Suarez made an 18-minute cameo appearance as a substitute on as he returned to the Liverpool team for the first time since April 21. In front of 95,000 fans at the MCG, he set up the second goal in the Merseysiders’ 2-0 win.
Brendan Rodgers has compared Suarez's value to that of Edinson Cavani, who joined Paris Saint-Germain last week for £55m, but the Anfield manager has stopped short of completely ruling out the Uruguayan's departure, merely saying every player has his value and he will only leave "if something drastic happens".
A bid rising to £42m for a 26-year-old who is banned for the first six games of the new season might be regarded as tempting by Liverpool's America-based owners Fenway Sports Group but John W Henry appears adamant that is not the case. In a tweet that seemed to ridicule Arsenal’s latest bid for Suarez, he wrote: "What do you think they are smoking over there at Emirates?"
Suarez has a £40m clause in his contract which his advisers believe entitles him to ask for permission to speak to any club that matches the price. But Liverpool claim they only have to inform Suarez and the clause does not oblige them to sell.
Arsenal believe they have been given enough encouragement by the Uruguayan's representatives that he is keen to move to Emirates Stadium in search of Champions League football.
The Gunners' second offer has been timed to coincide with Suarez returning to pre-season training following his extended summer break. The striker linked up with Liverpool in Melbourne on Sunday for the second leg of their pre-season tour.
Suarez has emerged as Wenger's first choice ahead of Higuain and Wayne Rooney, who is the subject of strong interest from Chelsea.

I think most Liverpool fans would be happy to sell him for £50m, but I hope we don't bend over and sell for less than that.
