The problem is the players; Not Jose Mourinho
First, let me start off by saying I was extremely happy that Jose Mourinho came to this club. Finally a manager who had the reputation to demand the control that a manager deserves. And, while Jorge Valdano has done a lot for the club, his position was not needed and only created unnecessary distractions at the club. If Mourinho needed something, he could just go to Perez and get it and not have someone give an opinion when all they are doing is small minuscule things in the background. The manager runs the team. He knows what he needs.
But now on to the players. At every club, Mourinho was at. Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan.... every player would follow his assignments to a T and they would win big things.
While, in the first two years, the players gave in into Mourinho's teaching and philosophy, this season we saw lots and lots of turmoil in the locker room.
People can say that Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos are Madridista all they want, but we saw first hand how they put the interest of the THEMSELVES above the CLUB!
The captain and the vice captain for whatever reason got tired of Mourinho and started to work on getting him out. We all saw it. From the interviews to Marca, to wearing an Ozil shirt during the match, to turning anyone in the club against Mourinho (they even got Pepe to turn against him), to holding a dinner in where the manager was not invited...?
Again, why must this happen. I love Raul, but when he was here, he was always giving Marca the inside exclusive to what was really going on. I'm getting tired of players at Real Madrid putting themselves over the manager. Honestly, the only player who is that important at the club at the moment is Cristiano Ronaldo and contract issue aside, he has acted with class during the entire season.
It's sad, because Mourinho might of had the most talent with Real Madrid and could of won the CL with Madrid, but I guess when you have such a big pool of talent, the big egos are to comes along with it.

It seems so. While the players are always remembered for this service, Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos got ahead of themselves.Forza wrote:They just don't seem to get it.
This team used to get knock of the Last 16 like it was no one's business. Mourinho finally comes and this team starts to actually progress in the Champions League.
This team used to be Barcelona's lap dog since the 2-6 and Pep and Mourinho changed that. HE GOT RID OF PEP!
The only thing that matters now in football is results. No one cares about history. History is just that. History and in the past.
