Re: Chelsea should offer a deal to Benitez
No.
A great man with so much dignity like Rafa shouldn't be associated with a horrible vile club like Chelsea.

Don't Liverpool fans piss and shit into bags, then throw them at Man Utd buses?

Aye, cause the acts of a handful of fans can be associated with a worldwide group
Should of picked a better example

A manager of a club at our level, he was expected to do better. He didn't.
I find this part startling. He just won you a European trophy, got you 3rd place in the league and got you to the semis of the FA Cup (which you unluckily lost). All the while being treated as scum by Chelsea fans.
He has a been a success.

No. Liverpool fans support and appreciate managers who bring them success. Even Hodgson never got booed.

What's the reason Chelsea fans dislike Rafa so much from the begining?

Ain't that the same case with Rafa, more than a handful like but the concept is still the same

Chelsea fans forget that they finished 6TH !!!!!!! last season
They had no given divine right to a top 3-4 finish this year. They were below WBA ffs when Rafa took over.

Well they only did it because thats what United asked for in exchange for Anderson to be shipped to them this summer

Re: Chelsea should offer a deal to Benitez
the argument that Chelsea was 4 points away from man utd and now 20 under Rafa is stupid. If you want to blame someone for that, blame your president. Sacking a manager does that to a team. dont expect things to go swiftly when you sack a manager and replace him mid year. That's on Roman

Re: Chelsea should offer a deal to Benitez
Lol at chelsea fans praising Di Mateo because he won a CL under exceptional circumstances. is it the same man who after cash was injected in the squad (something you never did for AVB), had a preseason, got chelsea on their asses in CL? that Di Matteo, pls sthap

Because rafa coached the great nemesis Liverpool and insulted Chelsea in the medias when he coached them. they appreciate the tact and calmness of mourinho, the unconditional respect he has for the medias, and his ability to win trophies he could never deliver for them.free_cat wrote:free_cat wrote:What's the reason Chelsea fans dislike Rafa so much from the begining?

Re: Chelsea should offer a deal to Benitez
Shouldn't you be praising the Chelsea players more instead of wanking over Benitez, I'm pretty sure Di Mateo's achievement last season winning the FA cup and the Champions league is far superior to what Benintez has achieved, Congratualtions to Chelsea they showed true spirit on the night and better luck to Benfica, they'll need it in their next European final.

When Liverpool were playing Chelsea in CL semi, he said: "in Liverpool, we don't have to give away plastic flags to our supporters to come to Anfield and cheer on the team. Unlike Chelsea where they do it"
He also said: "The referee should watch out for Drogba. He goes down so easily. Last game, Torres got 7 bruises in his leg, but no foul. Drogba goes down and gets fouls"
meanwhile, Mourinho walked towards Liverpool crew, showing them the "Shut up" gesture with his fingers.

Back when he was at Pool, Rafa made comments about Chelsea fans lacking passion, their fickle nature, mocked their policy of giving flags as Champions League match souvenirs, spoke about how he would never want 'bought success' in the way that Chelsea and Roman had operated. I believe he also said he would never coach such a team.

Re: Chelsea should offer a deal to Benitez
Avram Grant, Di Matteo and Guus Hiddink all did far better jobs than Rafa when they took over as interms. You're all deluded.
Grant took us to our first ever CL final, a League Cup final and lost the title on GD.
Hiddink has the best winning percentage of any Chelsea manager. Won the FA Cup, easily got 3rd place and got robbed of a CL Final.
Di Matteo was handed the reigns over from AVB who had the worst winning percentage of any manager since Glenn Hoddle over 20 years ago, he went on to win our only CL title in heroic fashion and an FA Cup Final.
Rafa took over from a team 4 points from top and still hasn't guaranteed us an automatic CL place despite having a far better squad than the other three. Yeah he took us to a Europa League final (still not guaranteed a win either mind) but look at the teams we had to beat to get there. Prague, Kazan and Basel are hardly world beaters are they?
Lets not forget losing the CWC in embarrasing fashion against a shit team.
Early post, 1 obvious change and the point still stands.
A moment of genius from Torres and a set piece after getting dominated and we were wrong.
Only thing ill give him credit from is getting out of the hole he dug for himself. Honestly didnt expect us to qualify for the CL with our fixture congestion but we somehow pulled it off.

Liverpool fans on this forum seem to celebrate this win even more so than the Chelsea fans, I wonder why

Because we like it when legends of our club do well. Same reason we are happy for Hyypia to bring Leverkusen to CL, or when Kenny won the league for Blackburn.

This. We always respect and love our legends. Our motto is 'You'll Never walk Alone" for a reason. Once you are a true Red, you will always be a Red. You will always have the support of the Red Crusade.

you celebrate winning percentages? and losers?
Gil talking to his grandson, "you see kid, this fat spaniard won us a Europa league, our first, but this one...he is special my boy, he is special. best winning percentage ever, and we got an FA cup"
you realize how that sound Gil? you are celebrating meaningless stats over a manager that brought you an actual european trophy. you were never going to beat Utd with that team of yours, and your team struggled so badly because you fired your manager mid season, benitez is not a miracle worker. Di Matteo is the one that choked you out of the CL, but somehow you blame Benitez for that too

So Liverpool fans would have been happy if a Rafa led team won against them in a cup final, I must confess you take supporting your legends to the extreme.

Re: Chelsea should offer a deal to Benitez
These threads remind me as to why I hate Chelsea and it's horrible fans.
And the double standard for RDM who finished 6th vs Rafa is ridiculous.
Also the comments Rafa made about Chelsea are legit. If they bothered the Chelsea fans, it's because deep down they know it's true

Re: Chelsea should offer a deal to Benitez
Chelsea wrote history today, nice . Also , Lampard
But give some little credit to Rafa as well , Chelsea fans. He deserves it . You can kick his ass tomorrow alright, but tonight you should show him some little respect . Obviously the players won the final , but he guided them all this time over to the last corner.
Some of you especialy , act like you were made to suck his c*** somehow , but all he did was win you another European Cup . Things don't happen by themselves and it's a shame not to recognise his part after a victory like this .

Wow, I really expect better from you, Arq.
Rafa has done what is expected, in the poorest way possible. You guys talk about him like he plays amazing football and is a great manager, he is not. Every game the players looked unmotivated, while RDM was in charge, they would have taken a bullet for RDM. Thats the key difference.
Rafa is suppose to be a tactical genius yet his tactics bar the united game were poor, he couldn't motivate the boys and without Hazard and Mata, we'd be in a horrible situation. He deserves credit for sticking at it but at the end of the day, he almost cost us top 4 in order to win the EL just so his CV looks that little bit better. He got away with both and will claim it was a fantastic result but at the end of the day, it's not. It's what was expected, nothing more.
