Re: But what about Everton?
He has a bias towards south american and Spanish players. Think he will let go most of the current Everton players and bring his own.

Like he did at Wigan.. turning them into relegation battlers from a midtable team? I hope he does.

LOL You hired Robin when you could have got Batman.

Yup you have no idea what you're talking about. I mean I already knew this but it's nice to see you straight up confirm it.

What did he say wrong??? Wigan finished 14th and 11th (that's midtable) before Martinez took over. Since he took over they have barely escaped relegation on the last matchdays every season. And this season his luck has run out.

Yup that's Martinez's fault, no other factors at play there, nope.
Wigan playing good football is his fault though. Wigan losing their best player/players every summer isn't. Wigan having a chance at winning what might be the only trophy in their history is his fault. Wigan not being able to afford good players that play the style he wants to use isn't.
Throwing numbers and league positions around and pretending they mean something without the context is easy enough to do. Maybe I should blame Suarez for Liverpool falling from Top 4 to 7th.

So the poor results aren't his fault?? A team that finished midtable comfortably for 2 seasons, and then he comes in and they turn to complete relegation fodders.
pls go Zeal, I think you've lost this argument.

Re: But what about Everton?
I don't think you realize how painful it has been for me Mole. I've actually spent time watching Newcastle. Some of the french players you bought i rated highly... some i didn't. Now, i don't even know.... how much should i attribute to them being shat and how much should i attribute to Pardew
The man has wasted my time and ruined my scouting of certain players.

Re: But what about Everton?
I attribute it all to Pardew tbh.
I mean the man has somehow made Cabaye look like a 3rd CB ffs
I do apoligize btw and do understand what its like following this club.
It is not advisable, i have lost hours of sleep this season and its constantly all i think about.
It has not been good for my health, but i'm addicted to the drug of my football club.
My advice would be get out while you can

Sports, Mole has informed me that there is a chance of Rene Girard coming to Newcastle. Would do you think about this move? Give us your thoughts.

Re: But what about Everton?
Girard likes to play a very attractive brand of footy. Build up, technical play... Montplellier was a very average club and he made them champions + he had them play good footy.
Remember that he was the brains of the France team after WC 1998 until after WC 2002. He was the one who put that attacking system together. Jacquet was all about defense... Lemerre was the waterboy lol. Girard made France NT an attacking team while playing good defense.
He was the manager at every youth level of France NTs too after that.
Extremely solid hire if it happens.
In an interview on May 2, he said he wants to manage in EPL... so i could very easily see it happening: http://www.le10sport.com/football/mercato/girard-j-ai-l-espoir-de-trouver-un-club-en-angleterre103850

Martinez biggest purchases in his time at Wigan are 4m, 2.5m, 2.5m
His net transfer spend is way negative

You do realize Liverpool haven't been promoted from the championship any time recently, right?
I always find it funny when people think missing the other person's point gives them the right to be condescending. You don't even have to wait for the karma to kick them in the ass, it's right there in the very same post.

Don't think so, his contract is ending this season or the next, if they do get compensation it will be little
