Nah, half the country heads down to the beach to surf. I imagine since Dos, Kizz and Forza are all massive surfers, they will be there.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
Was there ever a 'disaster movie' post posted for this section? If not, I feel like making one.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
So I guess I promised a story...
I will follow through with that. I will finish. I always finish.
So this takes place back in the days of goal.com lithium (yes, lithium, not GL, not V-bull, but lithium). I was a wee young lad, probably 14 at the time-- I was 13 when I joined. I probably looked a little something like this.
http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/59233000/jpg/_59233991_jex_1357894_de31-1.jpg
Well back in the days of lithium there was a dedicated group of posters, much like yourselves, who wanted to make a change. We wanted to upset the established order. Upset the established order and everything becomes chaos (does that sound familiar?). Yet I digress with movie quotes...we were catalysts for change. This dedicated group found that lithium, a place where trolling was a little more widespread iirc because Morpheus was the only admin, was often...shrouded in hate. It was a great place and everybody loved it, but there were some threads that were either trolling or pure hate thread that we found upsetting.
Let's introduce the members of this group in which I remember.
Giuvitojuve: A fantastic poster who I think had existed on here for a brief period of time before leaving due to trolls. Owns his own forum now. Giu was classy and intelligent, yet...hilarious. Quite knowledgeable about football and was a good writer too. Overall he was one of my favorite posters, and I miss the guy from time to time.
Droit_au_but: I'm very sure he was a part as well. Droit_Au_But is our favorite Marseille and French poster in the whole damn Goal history. Droit is one of the funniest posters to grace the Goal community and was also a fan favorite of everybody. Supporting Marseille when no one else watched Ligue 1, supporting a somewhat "smaller" club when everybody on Goal was a Barca or RM or Juve fan etc. etc. He doesn't post much anymore (at all really) due to personal issues which was quite a rollercoaster ride when we found out, but I like to think he shows up from time to time. Very rarely, he does, but he's popped up before.
Thimmy: Not 100% sure about this one but I want to say he was a part of it just due to memory and that he definitely fits in the same mould as these other guys. Funny guy that doesn't post too much anymore. Fantastic musical taste as well, he doesn't need much of a description as you guys should know him.
Zealous: Not at all sure if he was a part of it or not but again, I want to say he was, I kinda feel like he was. We all know Zealous
CBarca96: The man himself, with the 96 at the end cause f*ck it you need your goddamn birth year at the end of your name. Cool as hell. Sometimes called the most handsome man in Goal history. Probably true.
So basically what we had was a collection of funny guys here who just had a good time in the forum. We addressed the problem of hateful threads by a method of search and destroy. When a funny thread popped up, we would "disco" it. "Disco"ing it was a matter of posting pictures of disco, discussing disco methods, or being so off topic in other ways that eventually the thread and its hateful nature would be locked for eternity.
And now is the time to disco this shit!
It was effective for while actually, we would disco threads and they would rightly be closed. However this attempt at "playing moderator" was not to be and eventually Morph had to tell us all to stop or we'd have to GTFO and that he would deal with such threads accordingly, but out of it came a rare, yet prosperous time in Goal.com Lithium forums, a time of peace, of serenity.
So to thee I address my fellow Australians and do-gooders of Goal Legaciuth, you are not alone, you are preceded by a brave group before you, and though thou shalt have fun in the name of Chen, thou shalt not do so by derailing other threads. Morpheus, Redoranje, and RG have all come to the same conclusion. Though know you certainly are not alone. The power of Chen existed years ago as well.
Of course the difference between us back then and you guys is that you guys just want to go off topic and spread the word of Chen while ruining shit while we had a purpose (albeit a joking one)
Anyway that concludes story time for today

- Spoiler:
- It is worth noting that due to my memory being piss poor, especially for a 17 year old, the events that occurred in the above story and my recollection of it MAY not be 100% accurate, however that is how I recall the events.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
Yes, brilliant post CYoungster.
Clearly we're the forum rebels, hated by RG and RedO for our stunning good looks and inability to heed the rules.
Although, most of us are on 100%, obviously they cannot ban us because they know the fate of the forum relies on it.

Australian GL Vigilantes
back in the day when any thread in the GS broke down to Messi v CR or Barca v RM we couldve saved the forum, still we must be forever watchful, and ready to Chen threads at anytime, for it is our destiny

CNotaMod's moniker is a reminder of what we must do, despite our exile from the city of Modtopia, we must continue the fight, not as mods but as men. Hidden from the watchful eyes of Admin, fighting the good fight.
