For the youth side, he scored 16 times in 24 appearances over-all which involved 13 goals in 16 starts. He was subsequently called up to the reserves and did not disappoint, scoring in his second start against Chelsea, and a brace against Liverpool.
His awareness, composure and enthusiasm made him a regular in the second string by the end of the season. He has a very good eye for the goal, is quite speedy, not particularly tall in stature, not afraid to take on defenders but has been criticized for taking the shot rather then give a pass.

Re: Arsenal Profiles
Oguzhan Ozyakup is an 18 year old Dutch midfielder with Turkish descent. He was signed from AZ when he was 15 years old. Oguzhan is affectionately called Ozzie. When Arsenal set out to capture him, they made him one of their priorities which shows you that Wengers scouts have obviously seen something in Ozzie...that's not to say they were the only ones. Ozzie was being followed by Barcelona, AC Milan and Ajax.
Ozzie was so impressive even at the age of 15 ,that Louis Van Gaal called him up as a schoolboy to train with the first team. Leaving to Bayern, Van Gaal told AZ that they "must keep Ozyakup at all costs" . Oguzhan had told the board of AZ that he had no eyes for Barcelona, no eyes for Milan, no eyes for Ajax...and no eyes for the people he was even looking at...He wanted Arsenal.
Ozyakup, then 15, made two brief substitute appearances for the Netherlands in the Under-17 finals, including one against the nation of his parents’ births, hosts Turkey. He was quickly promoted to become The Netherlands U17 captain (at 16) and has since drawn comparisons to a young Overmars, amongst others. Ozzie played against an England U-17 which included three of his Arsenal teammates, and that did not stop him from warning them that he wanted to "Annihilate" them, and he stood true to his word scoring after 4 minutes of play. Other then his great passing and good turn of pace, what you notice immediately is how much time he seems to have on the ball. This is very important because it does not matter how old you are, its still a very good yardstick of a special player. Fabregas has it and this is perhaps the key element of his make-up, which has allowed him to step up to the highest level at such a young age. Wilshere has it too.
Ozzie is 5"10 , plays in the middle and can also play on the right. He is great technically, an astute center midfielder who has a very strong understanding of the game and a great ability to make assists. He featured 12 times for the Arsenal U-18, and scored 4 times. What Arsenal fans are most eager about is that Ozzie is a set piece specialist. Corners, freekicks, penalties, Ozzie is your man!

Re: Arsenal Profiles
Herschel Oulio Sanchez Watt, called Sanchez Watt for short, is a 20 year old winger that is currently on loan to Leeds United. When he was 7 he attracted the interest of Barcelona and Arsenal scouts, yet he chose to go to Arsenal. Watt was born in London on February 14 - St Valentine's Day - in 1991. He has represented England at England under-16, England under-17 and England under-19 level and is also eligible to play for Wales and Jamaica, through his Welsh mother and Jamaican father . Watt is a product of Arsenal's youth academy and came to prominence during the famous 2008-09 FA Youth Cup & league double, making his debut for the full side the following season. Watt netted twice in the 4-1 semi-final second leg win over against holders Manchester City - his first goal flew in after only 34 seconds.
Sanchez was the top scorer last season for the reserves with 5 goals from 10 games. He joined Southend on loan for a month before finishing his season at Leeds United making 6 appearances and helping Leeds to promotion. His only start came against MK Dons ( Formerly Wimbledon ) in which he played a part in 3 of the 4 goals scored. When Leeds played against Arsenal in the F.A Cup, Watt stated his intentions ... and they were to end the Gunners F.A Cup dream . In his first team debut he scored against West Brom. His first 8 reserve games were not a disappointment , as he scored in the most important game - against Tottenham.
Watt grew up as a Liverpool fan and has stated that his career aim was to score at Anfield in an Arsenal shirt. Arsène Wenger has said of Watt "I like his movement, his sharpness, his great work rate, his left-footed quality. I believe he is determined ". Sanchez can play as a winger, a target man, or a front man. Watt believes that it is better to have experience of playing in all positions and said: "I'll play anywhere, even defence. It's good to be versatile. You can't learn just one position during your career because you never know where you'll end up. You might go on loan and the manager asks you to play left wing, you can't say 'sorry I can't play there.'" Unlike some of the players at Arsenal , Watt knows how hard he is going to have to work if he is to make the grade. Watt knows he has to be great in the Arsenal shirt...with and without possession of the ball. "Arsene Wenger watches you off the ball too, so you have to be switched on tactically and mentally," he says. His intelligence and quickness on the pitch has impressed critics.

Re: Arsenal Profiles
We all know Henri Lansbury and all love our local boy, be it because of his eccentric hairstyles across the years...
or be it his incredible skills. Henri George Lansbury was born on the 12th of October, 1990 (age 20) in Enfield, London. Lansbury has been at Arsenal for 12 years! Ever since he was a little boy. He joined Arsenal from the ranks of Norwich. He has regularly featured for the U-18 and the reserves. Arsenal icon Alan Smith described him as having " HUGE POTENTIAL " . Henri has been played on the right side of the midfield in most of his games, including 4 times as a winger and once as a right back. On the 31st of Janury, 2009, Lansbury was loaned out to Scunthrope United for a month. He immediately showed his class by scoring on his debut. Lansbury featured in the FA Youth Cup Final for Arsenal, helping them win the trophy over Liverpool, assisting Gilles Sunu on the first goal and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas on the fourth goal in the first leg 4–1 victory. Lansbury was also part of our legendary 09-10 youth team.
On 21 August 2009, Lansbury joined Watford on loan until 31 December 2009. He scored his first goals for them with a brace against Sheffield Wednesday. On 31 December 2009, Lansbury signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal. After signing a new deal, manager Arsène Wenger said that Lansbury "will be a big player". It's not every day Le Professeur makes such a comment towards a youth player. He made his Premier League debut for Arsenal on 9 May 2010 against Fulham on the last day of the season, after returning from his loan spell at Watford. Arsenal won the match 4–0. His first goal for the club was the PERFECT first goal, as it came against Tottencrap Hotspur in the 3rd round of the Carling Cup, on September 21, 2010. Lansbury played the full 90 minutes and 30 minutes extra time, as the Gunners ran out 4–1 winners against their bitter North London rivals. Afterwards , Lansbury stated the goal was like a dream.
That's not all Arsene said, in the post-interview he stated, "Henri Lansbury is a type of player who I rate because of his qualities, but as well his mental strength, the timing of his runs. He gives you qualities that are very difficult to find in the modern game.
“He goes always behind [the defence] and he has the timing to get in the box and scores goals from midfield. He is showing that again the other night when you see the cross coming in, who is on the move? It’s Henri.
“I like his attitude, his spirit, his mental strength and of course his qualities. He has not played for a while; he played with cramps until the last minute [against Spurs] and has a fantastic team attitude. I rate him and I like him.”
Lansbury has featured for England at several youth levels. Former captain of the U-16 team and he was part of the U-17 team which reached the final of the 2007 UEFA U-17 European Championship but he missed the match due to concussion which he received in the semi-final. Lansbury has also captained England at U-19 level and was part of the team which lost in the final of the 2009 UEFA U-19 European Championship against Ukraine, scoring 3 goals in the tournament. He was called up to the U21 team for the first time for their qualifying match against Portugal in November 2009. On Tuesday 16 November 2010, in an England Under-21 friendly match against Germany, Lansbury replaced Jason Steele in goal when Steele was sent off. Lansbury let in the resulting penalty but kept the Germans at bay for the rest of the match. Henri Lansbury was called up to the England U-21 team for the 2011 UEFA Under-21 Championships and featured in all 3 group stage matches as a substitute.
I'M NOT A GOALIE
A quick, skilful and intelligent midfielder, he can play on either flank but, like so many creative players, prefers to operate through the centre. He is noted for his timing of his runs and his long range passing.
