Well, we should worry about United players, because they are the champions, and they will already be in a weakened state next season loosing their manager for nearly 30 years who made them the team they are today. So getting a chance at signing their best player would be massive. He'd fit in with our system almost perfectly imo. Rooney can do it all... When he wants to that is.. But a change of scenery I think would do him good.

Falleini is a great player but I don't see him working all that well with this team. Baines is great but we already have two class LBs and spending 20 million on him seems a little pointless.

You guys are dreaming if you think we can sign any player from United, now that Fergi is gone. They will sign more players and get stronger while we will go after scrubs. Its funny, they will probably sign our players again before we can sign another Silvestre.

United are not afraid of winning trophies and paying high wages, sadly we are. Our expectations have gone so low, we arguing which is the best £7m striker to choose from.

I know he's a great player but you really don't need him.

That money would be much more better served towards positions you actually need.

Like a experienced GK, CB, Diaby replacement, a striker with creativity and a RB who can attack should Sagna leave.

Obviously not all of the money that would be needed to spend on Cesc would be enough to get all of these players but you could most of it.

If you buy Cesc you strengthen an already strong position have players who should be playing on the bench and ignore various other weak points.

I think most people acknowledge this, but with Cesc it's just a matter of the heart! He isn't necessary ... nor is he actually going to come back. (At least not this summer.) But when it comes down to it, he belongs in an Arsenal shirt. The earlier DNA tests were a false positive!

If Sagna must go ( ) and if Piszczek is willing to come, that would be a quality replacement, at least. Surely not cheap though.

There aren't good enough reasons to get Baines IMO (obviously he's excellent though), and Fellaini is an odd case - clear quality, but would he fit Arsenal's style of play and where on the pitch would he slot in (because he'd have to be a regular starter)? We're all crying out for a more defensive- or tackle-minded player, and Fellaini can do that (and specialized in this earlier in his career) but now often plays a more attack-minded role. Frankly two Everton players I think could be more useful - I'm not saying immediately better - are Coleman and Barkley: a right-back to rotate with Jenks, and a strong central midfielder. Just a thought, nothing more.

Or that the media has no idea what Arsenal's actual plans are. I mean, you can't very well say that any/all of those rumors could be inaccurate (and by labeling them "rumors" that's exactly what you're doing) but still suggest that conclusions reached from the reports can be considered accurate.

Rooney won't happen because of wages. Juve is going to take one of the above. PSG are in the hunt for someone too... if Rooney, Cavani and Falcao say no to them, then they will go after one of these 3 too. Jovetic wants Juve... but he has talked to Leonardo already.

It's very iffy if something actually happens here. Depends on how the chips fall.
