Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Between Rossi already being at Fiorentina and their apparent attempts to sign another striker, it does seem like they're preparing for the loss of Jovetic.
There's competition for Aubemayang's signature, though, with Newcastle strongly interested and some suggestions that City are looking at him.

We need to show similar intent with a CB as well
Gonalons
Adler
Jovetic sounds amazing. Too good to be true.
But a CB as i am sure Arsene knows as well is equally as important

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Fabregas bid on a London flat for reasons that have nothing to do with football, but maybe just maybe have a little to do with future football?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2313990/Cesc-Fabregas-girlfriend-Daniella-Semaan-divorce-battle-ex-husband.html?ICO=most_read_module
A totally unrealistic fantasy summer haul of Jovetic - Fabregas - Adler - Gonalons - Sakho would be the sweetest revenge on the league
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2313990/Cesc-Fabregas-girlfriend-Daniella-Semaan-divorce-battle-ex-husband.html?ICO=most_read_module
But the case took an 'extraordinary' twist when a company controlled by Fabregas put in a bid for the Grade II-listed Upper Belgrave Street flat, offering about £5.4m, the Court of Appeal has heard.
Mr Taktouk says it could mean his ex-wife having her cake and eating it - being allowed to stay in the flat if Fabregas buys it, but with £1.4m in her pocket.

I really would like us to sign a young promising centre back but that can already do a good job as 3rd choice, our very own Varane, Marquinhos or Nastasic.
So if Carlo stays at PSG we should have a serious look at Sakho who will definitely ask for a transfer if Ancelotti stays at PSG.
Indi (Feyenoord) and Ginter (Freiburg) are two other options I would look at if we can't get Sakho (Our scouts already watch Ginter all the time)

Matthias Ginter from Freiburg he's a centre back (but can play as a defensive midfielder aswell), Dortmund are crazy about him, so he's good

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
guys i think we are really missing the other reasons why we shuld really be active in the transfer period. the main reason is to strengthen the team yes a good striker and DM would do that) but the other main reason would be to restore pride and confidence of the club by signing a big name from a big club. David Villa can be seen as fruitful as it would encourage other young spanish strikers maybe from barca as well to follow suit. Unknown names can be good but we will end up attracting only unknown players and selling them after they have made their names at arsenal. one good signing was carzola or even poldi. i guess we should be targeting the likes of Kaka. lets jus try 2 stay on top of this transfer game. i guess wenger has really given up getting a big name and always tries to make one for himself....which is bad for the club

Arnesen says everyone knows we are looking for a keeper, but haven't contacted HSV about Adler.
Adler says its inspirational to be linked with us, it motivates him, but doesn't distract him. He is happy with what he has now, and has recently bought a villa in Harvestehude.

CA is out at PSG. They are going to make a big run at Wenger now... will be interesting in the next few weeks.

Yeah. Le Parisien reported it and l'Equipe TV just confirmed it. It will be officially announced by the club as soon as Ligue 1 title is secured, which could happen this weekend.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Sports, whats the likelyhood, in your opinion, on Arsene leaving us for PSG? What would PSG give to prize him away, and who do you think would be a viable replacement for him in London?
Just curious to know what you think.

Interesting, I dont think Wenger would move there or any other big club. He knows if he dont win he will be fired. Weneger will be at Arsenal till he retires.
The only way I can see him going to PSG is if he signs a contract they cant fire him no mater what happens.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Hard to read Wenger. He doesn't like to break contracts and he has 1 year left. But he even admitted that he was very close to accepting the France NT job last summer... so he may be looking to return to France. With the NT job gone, the only other position that is suitable for someone like him is PSG. They are going to offer him a great package.
PSG have Klopp, Low and Rudi Garcia as the other 3 candidates. They want an attacking-minded manager. I don't think they can really go wrong with any of these 4. I just hope it's Wenger because i want him to show the world what he can do with a WC squad...

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I really don't want Wenger to leave Arsenal - whatever his flaws, I'd rather have him than anyone else in his situation. He can frustrate but to me he's also a rare man of principle & honor. If he goes, I think a lot of the fans who want "their Arsenal back" will realize quickly that they wanted the Arsenal of AW's first eight years ... don't know what they've got til it's gone.
That said, purely on a hypothetical level it's amusing to imagine this notoriously fiscally safe manager at a club that spends what it does on Pastore, Thiago Silva, Ibra, Lucas Moura, etc.
The Invincibles weren't bad. (No no, I get your point.)

That WC squad can be built also at Arsenal. I want him to make us fall in love with our team all over again.

I hate break ups with Arsenal, its a weakly thing.
I agree no reason to let Wenger go, unless he wants to.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
One thing very few realize is that Arsenal's wage bill is around €175 million now. PSG's is €87.9 million. If you think about that... when you add the PSG wage bill to the transfer fees of Silva, Ibra and Lavezzi, you get Arsenal's wage bill. If you push that out 2 years, Pastore and Lucas can be added in.
PSG is just an extremely well run club. What's more, the youth academy at PSG is among the best in France too.
There's a lot for Wenger to like.
