How highly do you rate Kevin De Bruyne?

I have seen about 15-20 games of Werder Bremen and De Bruyne, those who follow Bundesliga on a regular basis how highly do you rate him?

God Bremen are trash outside of De Bruyne and Hunt there is not a player i rate.

id say for chelsea next season depending on whether jose is manager or not, he'll be a useful addition to the squad, but i do believe that he will play a similar role to a moses/milner/valencia, a winger used for energy, athleticism, crossing ability and tactical awareness, something different to complement the plays of hazard, mata and oscar.

I really like him. He is an excellent talent with astute technique and a very good vision. Having a fantastic season at Werder so far and not sure if he will be at Chelsea next season but he will be a great addition to any team if Chelsea decides to loan him again or call him back.

He reminds me of Diego a lot

AFAIK Bayer Leverkusen is interested in him. What I have seen from him looked pretty good after he overcame his first matches where he needed to acclimatize.

is de bruyne capable of playing as a pivot? a problem area for us, or will he the same problems like lampard in tracking back and getting around using energy?

The short of it is, No, not presently, he has to improve his defensive ability, However, he could play in a CM in a 4-3-3 Alongside Mikel and Ramires.

de bruyne is awesome, he really is. i fear chelsea is not even too aware of that as they (apparently) are set to give him to leverkusen including some money for schürrle. schürrle on the other hand is quite overrated, his playstyle makes him look like a more spectacular player but that's about it.

Schürrle is an EPL-teams wet dream though. Strong shot, good finishing, good shots from distance, pacey as f*ck, decent in the air, decent strength, good stamina. His "zero creativity" problem isn't too bad then.

yea he is a good player, i can see him make impact. but he needs more good people around him then de bruyne to get something going.

Welcome first of all

To answer the question, i don't think he can play as a Pivot. He just isn't a CM and will have a hard time limiting himself in a deeper position. His attributes are all primed for being a CAM or a winger.

Kevin isn't going anywhere permanently, Michael Emenallo loves him to death and he pretty much calls the shots players wise (after Roman of course).

why would we go for schurrle when we have de bruyne? de bruyne is a pretty good crosser, long range shooting is decent too and also a decent passer of the ball. he's not as quick as the wingers we have now but we don't lack pace in our side. he's the kind of player that could balance our flanks. any combination of mata, hazard, oscar, moses or even marin is too attack minded.
