*sighs* This is a really mean decision to make. Well, frankly, why does one always have to decide? I have to admit, I think I'd take both of them ^^

Oliver Kahn was a force of nature in goal, you could say, while Gigi Buffon has been utter class for ages, too. I think picking one of the two would do the other great injustice.

Yea, this is tough. 2 best keepers of all time in my opinion. If i had to pick one, id pick Buffon, just because im a Juve fan. But theyre so even its unbelievable.

How do Schmeichel and VDS rank compared to Kahn and Buffon? I'm not a goalkeeping expert, genuine question.

High up, too. I just prefer Kahn and Gigi for personal reasons.

I am a little biased but Buffon is in another class because of his sustained brilliance for over a decade. Kahn was at a similar level for a much shorter period of time.

Splitting Kahn, Schmeichel and Casillas would be much more difficult.

VDS is not in the same class. Hell, Juve sold him and bought Buffon because he was a liability with a tendency to get red carded (have to say he improved markedly at Man U though). Interesting ranking here, although Kahn's career also spanned the 90s.
