Re: Reggina Calcio
well you got the draw correct
Well you got the draw with Crotone correct. Intense game, and what a way to save ourselves with that last min corner kick. Have to thank Del Prete for the own goal (though I'd have prefer Freddi be given the goal)
The draw actually sees us move one spot up to 18th, and we're 2 points away from moving out of any relegation trouble. We have 4 games left so lets see what happens.
I dont know if we will lose to Brescia, their good but i think we will be able to muster something against them. I know ttheir 7th but we have beaten teams in similar postions previously.
I hope we have Comi back for this game otherwise we really only have two true strikers in Gerardi and Fischnaller availble with any form of exp. Di Michele is out for another 2 games (i think)

Re: Reggina Calcio
3 pens and an own goal. What a game. I agree though, Freddi should get the credit for the OG.

Re: Reggina Calcio
Im not actually sure why, i looked through tuttoreggina and seriebnews and couldnt find any reason for his absence. Could be an injury. The first pen for Crotone was a bit suss, but shit happens and have to move on. I just hope we can muster the points to achieve Salvation

Re: Reggina Calcio
It was brilliant! A win we needed not just for morale but for vital points. We're still 19th but beating Cittadella helped as win over bottom side Grosseto will see us out of relegation. Im hoping Sassuolo do us a favour and beat padova tomorrow
Does anyone know who our final opponents are?

Re: Reggina Calcio
Key: Safe, Relegation Play-Off, Automatic Relegation
A whole lot of clubs on 49 points.
Cittadella 47
Lanciano 46
Reggina 45
Ascoli 40
Vicenza 38
Pro Vercelli 32
Grosseto 30
We have 2 relegation zone teams to finish off the season.
Rock bottom Grosseto will hopefully roll over and die. They are winless in their last 9 games, losing 7 of them. Disturbingly, they have managed draws in their last 2 games. They drew against Pro Vercelli who are also already relegated. And most recently they scored a 90+5 minute goal to draw 2-2 with 7th placed Varese.
Hopefully Modena beat Vicenza before we play them on the last matchday. That plus an Ascoli win will see Vicenza relgated before we have to play them.
We also need to hope that Cittadella (the team we just beat) and Lanciano have a poor end to the season. If Reggina are to avoid the relegation play-off, we probably only have a chance of leapfrogging these two teams.
Lanciano are in poor form (winless in 6), drawing their last 4 games 1-1, losing the one before that 4-3 and then drawing the game before that... 1-1. Fortunately for us they have top of the table Sassuolo and 5th placed Novara as their last two games. I expect Lanciano to lose both.
Cittadella have a tough trip to 4th placed Empoli next which I expect them to lose. Their game against Ascoli could go either way. Neither side will want a draw, but that might be what happens in that game.
