" getting kicked " isn't the main cause of  muscular  injuries    ronaldo 's style is very explosive ( just like messi ) with lots of sprinting , off-ball movement , playing every minute of every match with team and country  etc... . that's what usually causes muscle strain for players, not " kicks " .


also , ronaldo is far from being a " playing it safe " type of guy . for example ,his balsy  header attemps resulted in many injuries over the years

Not like Blatter was serious, he was just joking around. Anyway due to his rank and who he is, it might have just been better if he didn't do it. Maybe he just didn't think a random meeting with a few jokes would cause controversy. He probably wouldn't have done it had it of been a more significant occasion.
