tbh I feel no sympathy for him
he himself got into this mess and he is the only one who could get out of it. he has been offered treatment before yet still hasn't stopped. I can feel no symphathy for guys like him. his career was shortlived due to this very issue. anyways respect for linekier, chris evans and piers morgan for funding his stint with the rehab center

If he gets clean he should stay in America and try make a new life for him self.
If he comes back to Newcastle he will be on the drink again in a matter of hours. Far too easy for him to visit his old haunts, associate with the wrong people and end up falling back off the wagon.

He should take an example in Gerd Müller. Müller also got into severe alcohol problems, but fortunately he got his life on track again.

Eh, his problems weren't just alcohol were they? He was mentally ill wasn't he? Saw an interview of him talking about his ocd, had a very hard time by the sound of it
