So why did Man United defender Rafael wear twin brother Fabio's boots against Fulham?

Managers and players have enough trouble telling Manchester United's Brazilian twin defenders Rafael and Fabio da Silva apart.

Fabio's loan spell at Queens Park Rangers this season had at least given Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson and his team-mates some respite.








But Man United full back Rafael sparked more head-scratching on Saturday when he was spotted playing against Fulham in his brother's boots.

Rafael went on to the pitch at Craven Cottage wearing a pair of bright yellow Nike boots with 'Fabio' stitched on the side.

It quickly sparked a debate over whether Fabio was putting in a double shift after helping QPR claim a goalless draw at Loftus Road earlier in the day.

Or maybe Rafael had turned up in west London without his and had nipped three miles up the road to borrow a pair of brother's boots.

They should make a joke like that after a QPR vs Man u : Changing their clothes and fabio going in Man u locker room and Raf in QPR's

Maybe they're the same person


Has anybody here actually seen them in the same room together in person? Not some photoshopped picture or an edited recording of a game.

I'm laughing thinking about how many times SAF probably calls Rafael by the name of Fabio
