2 - 2 when we were up by two goals, well, I guess there are positives for both teams to take but no ultimate prize for either.

Both teams have lost today.
Draw is the last thing we needed.
Luckily Spuds drew too.

Re: How many goals will Arsenal put past Liverpool at the Emirates on Wednesday?
Hardly any positive to take out of this match except Henderson and Carragher proving that he hides youth serum in his jock.
Fact is Liverpool went completely against Rodger's philosophy in dominating games by keeping possession, playing the ball patiently rather then sitting deep without any pressing, and pressure and hoping for Gerrard and Suarez to pull of a magical counter-attack. We let Arsenal into the game by continually absorbing their pressure and not using it against them. I know Arsenal might have won in the counter but I sure as f**k rather lose attacking rather than draw while cowering of Arsenal's attack. Taking Enrique out for Sturridge proved that Rodger's back down instead of taking it too them. Why was Downing still on? Well aside from producing absolutely nil in attack he is there to help track back and assist a very meek raw Andre Wisdom.
Kudos to Arsenal for the comeback but not surprising given that Liverpool are the Roma of England and love to squander leads. If Giroud could actually finish open chances then it would have been 3-2. Forget pride, we were outplayed once again by Arsenal throughout the majority of the game. despite capitalizing well on their blunders. What makes it even worse is Arteta wasn't playing so we didn't have the tenacity to even dominate vs an inept Aarron Ramsey being their regista.
Guys like StevieG8 and Nishy look at this from a far more positive perspective since they are so incredibly used to us squandering 2 goal leads, unfortunately for me it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth followed by that deep and sickening feeling within the pit of your stomach. We Basque's don't know how to lose. When we do, we cry like pussies.

That was a sexy pass.
Losing a two goal lead though was the anti-sex.

probably good news for both the teams is chelsea gave away 2 goals lead to draw to 2-2 and spurs also drew 1-1 at norwich... 7 points diffn between liverpool and spurs n also between chelsea and arsenal

by the way, Arsenal fans, ESPECIALLY LEX, can't take the piss out of Suarez for diving anymore.
Wilshere and Giroud with 2 of the most atrocious dives of the season

Re: How many goals will Arsenal put past Liverpool at the Emirates on Wednesday?
By the Wilshere 'dive,' I assume you mean when the ref claimed Lucas took him down for a free kick? The replay looked like Wilshere just lost his footing and fell over but the ref immediately gave a free-kick. Wilshere never even acted like he had been fouled - he just got up and shrugged his shoulders at the decision. If he was trying to dive then yeah of course nobody contacted him so it would be a dive, but the way his foot hit the ground (almost fully on its side) leads me to believe that he just naturally fell over.Be/\/ceCALI wrote:Harry Redknapp wrote:by the way, Arsenal fans, ESPECIALLY LEX, can't take the piss out of Suarez for diving anymore.

As for Giroud, there was very minimal contact on the side of his foot and he tried to sell it as being taken down. It was a dive, yeah, but at least he was sort of touched. Not the worst of the season

I chose this game over El Clasico and was not dissapointed. Very entertaining, but wow, those Arsenal errors.
