Should Kaka have been called up for Brazil?
To me, what Brazil seemed to be lacking up front (there defense was relatively sound) was experience, someone to bring some sort of order into chaos; someone to bring cohesion. Kaka is a player who can bring just that.
Even though he isn't fully fit yet, should Kaka have been called up? He would have been the perfect game-changing super sub in a match like this, imo.

Ugh, I know that he didn't want to, but HYPOTHETICALLY, would he have made a difference?
And I am not a particularly big Kaka fanboy (although he is amazing), I was just thinking about the lack of cohesion in the Brazil squad, and how it could have been helped.

Re: Should Kaka have been called up for Brazil?
Kaka's playing load at Madrid this year was just too tiring for him... He needed the summer to rest after being such a warrior for us this season.
If your freaking country wants you for a competition like copa America and you're fit (very important point) you play FFS!

There was an article on inter's website a couple weeks ago, he was spotted in the jungle of sub-saharan africa trying to find a cure for malaria
I'm sure he could've taken a couple weeks off to either play for or coach brazil though

Bit contradictory no? He was injured all year because he played the world cup despite being at risk of getting injured...

Re: Should Kaka have been called up for Brazil?
it's all speculation, man.
i'd say that, with his current form, no he wouldn't have.

Re: Should Kaka have been called up for Brazil?
kaka is finished. brazilians have got bad longevity. they all decline in their late 20s. eg ronaldo, rivaldo, ronaldinho, maicon, romario and now kaka. ac milan says thanks

He could have been a sub to Ganso. For instance against Colombia Goanso was really subpar (understandable, this is his second game back from injury)Kaka could have come on in the second half, and who knows he might have changed the game.

Lucas should start. One from Sau Paulo, I mean. Leiva already has his position cemented. :bball:

Lucas Marcelinho is only 18. Very inexperienced.

Re: Should Kaka have been called up for Brazil?
I wouldnt call up Kaka! I don't think he will be part of the 2014 world cup squad so mano needs to call up the players that will have a chance a to play in the world cup so they can have chemistry. The players need as much practice together as possible.

Re: Should Kaka have been called up for Brazil?
Oh and On Topic:
Kaka was really needed if they want to win the copa!!!
The team is "new"... it's the 2nd time the 4 attacking players play in the same team!!
They don't know each others well... they'll need time to adjust especially because they are all "unexperienced" on international level!
Kaka could have helped a lot in gelling the offense...
Man can't you see that there is no offensive tactic (coach very average) ? they are not able to build a good attack?...
Neymar always tries to dribble more than he should... and doesn't pass when he has to. Very poor at taking decisions.
Took an impossible shot when he should have crossed!
Ganso was the best player yesterday with his passes!!
Anw... Kaka was needed imo.

It would be great for Brazil to have a fit Kaka on their lineup.. Since Kaka wasn't ready , they ve done what they had to do.
