Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Well yeah, there's no way to pretend that, this season, Bayern aren't a cut above the rest. Bought Martinez at the exactly right time, while Dortmund got more depth, but are rocked by injury now.
Next season will be more interesting, most likely. There isn't much that Bayern can improve, no matter how much they spend, while all of the Bundesliga is getting more money every season.
Level playing field isn't happening any time soon, but it's getting better.
As for Vidal, signing makes sense. I mean it shouldn't be a priority, but it makes sense. Tymo is on his way out, Gustavo is a pure destroyer, and Martinez might get moved to CB again.
Honestly, Bayern don't need anyone right now. But Vidal would be nice to have. Better signing than Lewandowski any day of the week

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Who wouldn't? Aside from being injured now he's been pretty great, aspecially considering his pricetag. Good buy, versatile enough defensively, solid lad.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Bayern will not sell Gustavo, this are only rumour. Acquisition of Guardiola was eventually going to lead to all these ridiculous rumours, nothing more.
But I will gladly accept Vidal as Tymoschunk replacement, if it means we don't have to sell Gustavo or Martinez.
In other news, Bayern has approved of Guardiola's wish to sign Lewandowski.

It would end up being an unsuccessful pursuit of Vidal.Better look elsewhere from now itself.

Is there any source for that? Because I still think signing Lewandowski would be f*cking retarded.
Also: They aren't selling either of Martinez or Gustavo, they're both doing well.
Sidenote: Gustavo is actually playing right now, looking forward to seeing how he does.

I don't think there's anything to it as well, Vidal would be a great signing, but Bayern don't necessarily need him, and he would be expensive as hell, and Bayern don't splurge.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Id think Juve would go and consider Bayerns offer if Pep splashes like 40m on this guy. Its the same guy who went to decept Nerman to join his side

Splash 40m for a player they dont need, right after they splashed 40m on a player they didnt need. Genius

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Yeah but I don't think Bayern are going to spend 40m again, especially not for a depth signing.
They could realistically make an offer that would be too good to turn down, in that they could afford it. But they won't. It's really not Bayerns style.
They'll pounce on any disgruntled player though, if they think it'll make him cheaper.

Well, they didn't need Martinez per se, but that signing made a lot of sense, considering.
Vidal, while one of the best players at his position, wouldn't be as needed, considering Bayern still have Schweinsteiger, Gustavo and Martinez.
Would be nice to have. But Bayern usually don't spend big on "nice to have". If for some reason they could get him for less than 30m, they'll break the piggy bank though.
I just see no realistic way of this happening.

I completely agree with your assessment.
Signing Vidal will be a good buy (but it's not necessary), it will means quality meets quantity.
Signing Lewandowski would be fu*king retarded indeed, I mean Guardiola likes playing with a false9, so why would he want to add a players that is even more similar to Mandzukic and Lewandowski than a false 9.
I am eagerly anticipating what Guardiola will do with Gustavo, I don't think he will fancy his rugged style of play, but you can never tell.

Well, he liked having Biscuits as a safety-net behind his fancy tiki-taka parade, and Gustavo can do much the same thing, except that Gustavo uses tactical fouls instead of diving as his dirty trick

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
I honestly think Pep would get out a bit more from JM than Jupp. At times you can see him being played a bit too limited, rendering him a ineffective against certain oppositions.
I dont watch Bundesliga much, but who has been playing as a Piggys midfield partner mostly for this season?

Gustavo and Martinez about an equal amount, maybe Martinez got a few more starts, but Gustavo was injured pretty long.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has effectively ruled out a move for Santos star Neymar in the summer after admitting the Bundesliga giants would not be splashing out.
Hoeness claims the club are reluctant to sanction another costly deal after their signing of Spaniard Javi Martinez last summer.
"I do not think that in the next few years we will buy a player that is more expensive than Martinez," he told reporters.
Neymar's future has been speculated upon in recent days with Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini also pulling out of the race to sign the Brazilian.
This news seemingly paves the way for a move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona once the forward decides to leave Santos.
His contract expires in 2014 and the player has stated numerous times that his desire is to stay in Brazil until after the 2014 World Cup.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Probably tired of us being linked with everyone in the world, I would think we prefer to move more quietly regarding our transfers. I had always considered this a bit of an advantage, but with Pep it doesn't look like we are going to have that "secrecy" anymore.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Also, Hoeness doesn't say they wouldn't sign Nerman, he just said they'd be cheap about it
And TBH that's what every Bayern fan could've told you way before that statement - Bayern were always gonna be cheap about their next signings.
Martinez' signing was a major anomaly because they really, really, wanted that player, and I reckon at some point they had to shell out the 40m just to save face.
They're not going to spend that big again, unless it's for a player worth even more than 40m.

No chance in hell they are getting Neymar for less than Martinez.
