Re: Guardiola to Bayern
As said in the other, now locked, thread.
Better Bayern then England in my opinion.
But I am not much of a fan of the way so many old German players come out and criticise the players/coach/team. They are often incredibly harsh in my opinion.
But none the less, it would be a good move once he grasps German.
He will certainly make them a scarier opponent, they are already the 2nd best possession team in the game.
I only wonder how how he will change the team, I guess it depends on this season for them

He takes the easiest job out there
Bundesliga will be a cake walk for him. CL will be the real test.

Nightmare for Gomez lol. His days at Bayern are all but over. Interesting to see how he adapts to Ribery... Ribery is very direct and likes to attack via the dribble. He doesn't really like tiki taka. It's more get the ball and go.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Don't underestimate Dortmund if Klopp stays. But yeah... it's the least challenging of all the clubs Pep had been linked with.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
He signed with the 2nd best team probably after Barcelona in terms of player quality/depth and financially, can get almost any player he wants ... Not really of a challenge..

Dortmund are a growing club. Its only going to get tougher regardless of whoever is managing Bayern and this is going to be a completely new experience for him so lets not come into this conclusion that its going to be a cakewalk for Bayern.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Went from one 2 horse league to another 2 horse league, not interested in a good challenge it seems, he also went from one set of world class players to another set of world class players. Taking the easy job
Would have loved to have him at Milan. Whatever best of luck to him at Bayern
Munich.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
I'm really interested to see how he uses the likes of Kroos, Muller, Ribery and so on.
Especially Muller who i feel is tailor made for a system like Pep used at Barca.
Also i agree with Dani that the ex players can be very harsh at times but we will see.
I like the move anyway, a lot more than him going to any PL team.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
I woldnt rule out Gomez. Probably not as a starter, but Pep has does like for a bigger striker to use as a pivot.
He was a tremendous fan of Kluivert's game.
Easiest challenge? Bayern arent champions right now so I dont think its all the easy at all.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Either way Bayern are absolutely dominating the BL right now, unless they somehow get much worse, Pep should be almost guaranteed some success.Surag wrote:Albiceleste wrote:He takes the easiest job out there

I think he will like all the players, really.
I think he rates Robben, im sure he said he would sign him before if he could. Muller is very Barca-ish.
Kroos is a clever player who moves smartly.
Ribery can do it all out there.
I aint even convinced he wont use Gomez in some way.
I dont think he will use the double pivot they use now, that will be the most interesting for me..Martinez, Bastian...
Milan? Thats more than a challenge, thats miracle work....no offence but.

Not to mention Bayern have not won the CL since 2001, to say it isn't a challenge is pure ignorance.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
Bayern have some good young players as well that Pep can make into bonafide starters. Emre Can, Shaqiri etc.

Slow balling playing centerback?
I dont think so either
He will be starting if he dont make Martinez a centerback I bet.
I think the most changes will be the structure of the midfield more than the players in and out.

Re: Guardiola to Bayern
It's not as big a challenge Mole... not saying it's not a challenge. You're in a 2 horse race in Bundi where you're the top dog right now, the roster is filled with great talent and you have money to spend.
It's not like taking over flawed teams like Chelsea, City or Milan, who would require a lot more work.
