Torres Watch- 14 goals this season
More goals than Benzema, Higuain, Huntelaar, Milito, (insert Juve striker), Holt, Rooney, Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko, Long, Defoe, Ba, Cisse.
same # of goals as Michu and Suarez.
Only top profile people who've scored more goals than him this season so far are:
Messi
Ronaldo
Falcao
Ibra
Cavani
RVP
told you he'll come good

Re: Torres Watch- 14 goals this season
Saw his last 2 games, minus the goals he didnt do anything in either. He was better today, because he scored early and after that he found alot of energy and looked "up for it".
Before his goal in the week, he was horrible, terrible touches, too many touches, spending far too much time outside the box.

Myself too..Maybe we both watched only Chelsea's Champions League games and the CWC Final where he sucked hard.

First off he scored a brace and not a hattrick.
And both his goals were barely decisive in regards to the final result..Basically it was stat padding against the one of weakest teams in the competition.
But you cant argue with the fact that Torres had a poor CL campaign plus he missed an absolute sitter against Corinthians in the CWC final

I hope Chelsea get fooled by his 14 goals ( + whatever else he'll score till the end of the season) and go into the next season with just Torres again

Re: Torres Watch- 14 goals this season
The only goals I can remember from him is him scoring against Arsenal, and he scored 2(?) against Sunderland.
That just about sums up his season for me.

This "only scores against shit teams" argument is rubbish.
Tell you what, Man United lost the title last season, because they didn't score as many goals against Rubbish teams as City did

Chelsea bought Torres for goal difference stats
They basically bought him to stat pad

Malouda 2.0 only adds to leads, never creates them.
We still need a better striker.

He gave Chelsea the lead today. And did so against Sunderland.

When was the last match we won by a Torres goal?
I guess I worded it wrong, neither of them scored important goals, just another goal to the tally.

They were the go-ahead goals... if anything, it was the OTHER goals that didn't matter after his.

Re: Torres Watch- 14 goals this season
I am watching the game now, Villa have barely had a sniff of Petr Cechs goal, I doubt we would have not won had Torres not scored. I am happy he is scoring but he still needs to do more.

Keep moving the goal posts (figuratively) and twisting the stats to suit your argument, then.

Still rubbish.
We are not going to win anything with him as our number 1 striker.
