the only thing he cant do is score (which is the main reason they got him eco smile

), other than that he performs well in anything else , (pressing, passing etc..)
i agree he does not worth that money spend on him but he isnt that useless as you want him to be considering drogba isnt any better imo i would say the team is a big part of his failure aka
him playing at madrid would lead to surely better performances and goals dont you think?

If he wasn't a striker no one would be complaining with his performances at the moment.

Plus people need to understand how incredibly difficult it is with Ramires playing Right midfield.

When Ramires isn't playing right midfield, Torres somehow ends up playing there, even Mata is used at CF instead of him.

I can safely say, having watched significant portions of the last 4 chelsea games that at the moment...he is not shite....he's playing quite well, just not scoring,

I will lol so hard if somehow he actually manages to make it to the CL final..............

Ben Arfa has had the grand total of 800 mins this season but still has more assists and goals than Torres and quite comfortably aswell.

He is not performing worthy of a midfielder, winger, attacking midfielder hell he isnt even performing of a manner that a CB would be proud of.

He's just shite and you are living in the world of pre 2008 when he was good you are just like Barca fans when Ronaldinho went downhill and couldnt accept he was no longer any good.

Torres fans are now in that stage they wont accept he will never be good again and keep holding on to the believe he will be back one day.

You can try to tailor his stats to reinforce your argument all you want. The simple fact of the matter is that he is not scoring. This is the most important function of a CF. If he can't score, he's not sufficiently doing his job. I understand that he's doing a lot of things well, but he's not fulfilling his primary function. You can't make the argument that he's better than 3 players who are fulfilling their obligations.

Honestly, I might be tempted to continue playing Torres on the wing. Think about it. He's been dangerous receiving the ball wide and bringing other players into the attack; he'll have the opportunity to beat defenders with pace; and his goal scoring woes won't be quite as crippling when played on the wing. It's a win for everyone.

Torres may not be scoring but he's been Chelsea's best player this month, he's been the most creative force in the team with Mata fading a bit, he's still a fantastic player, and most Chelsea fans adore him, he gets the most cheers at the Stanford bridge, mostly for his endeavor.

He's under a lot of pressure due to his past form and price tag, but he's no where near as bad as people make him out to be. Even when he missed that sitter( after the hard work of dribbling past De Gea) at Old Trafford, he scored an absolute beauty to bring his team back into the game, he could have scored a goal of the season contender when against Sunderland when his acrobatic effort struck the bar and set up nicely for Lampard to tap in.
