Matri on Fiorentina radar

Despite the frosty relationship between Juventus and Fiorentina, reports suggest that a deal for Alessandro Matri could be done.

The two clubs are historical rivals and things turned ugly over the summer after the Viola blamed Juve for destroying their proposed swoop for Dimitar Berbatov.

The Tuscan giants are still looking for a new forward and Matri could be one of the players they target in January.

Matri, after a goal packed start to life in Turin, has struggled in recent times and he is no longer assured of a place in the side.

The former Cagliari striker has only started two games in Serie A this season, scoring one goal in the process.

They could have had him and cash for Jovetic last summer. If they want him, we better make them pay after all of their comments in the press after the Berbatov mess.

I'm being harsh, I actually think he would succeed with a team like Fiorentina, but he is a little out of his depth with this Juventus team and he clearly cannot handle the competition and maybe is just not suited to the system either.

Really try for a world class striker

Proper rotation. Not Matri and Bendtner who let's face it are probably going to score the odd goal here and there.

I'm with Luca, Matri could do very well at a smaller club especially one where he can use his speed (Udinese would be perfect but they only buy young unknowns).

Offload him for 10-15m (along with that waste of space that is Bendtner), sign a WC 20-30 goal striker and we will have an awesome strikeforce!

I think this move would be good for both parties. We cash in on him. Wr can go for a world class striker. I have a feeling he would succeed with them.
