Colombia - a golden generation or sustainable talent factory? Empty Colombia - a golden generation or sustainable talent factory?

I think it's fair to say that as far as talent is concerned Colombia is fighting Chile for 4th best in SA - and I think winning. They have players like Zuniga, Cuadrado, Falcao, Guarin, James Rodriguez, and Jackson Martinez who are all having a successful time in Europe and many are hyped as the next big thing. Does Colombia have the sporting infrastructure to continue to produce these talents or are they simply having a golden generation?

Just a golden gen IMO.they have a great team, made it really tough for us.But their defense is pretty bad, they were a bit lucky to get away with a draw.

If we had this current team with a backline of prime Yepes, Cordoba, or Perea we would be golden. But as far as the question of whether we can we keep it up, its a bit too early to tell. I mean we're just now climbing those FIFA rankings that we hadn't seen in about a decade. Still, the future looks bright for the cafeteros u guys. BC, you're a Barca fan right? I was in Colombia a few weeks ago and while I was there I was put on this kid who can hopefully be the future for both Colombia and Barca:

Giancarlo Poveda - 14 yrs. old, Midfielder, Lefty, Fast, Talented and playing for Infantil B.
Played for Malaga, then Arsenal and now Barca.

A Colombian Canterano!!!! cheers cheers
