Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Disappointed if he leave, but far from surprised. Arsenal have had to sell to actually make a profit each year till we renegotiate sponsorship and branding deals of course. Jenko has done well, and I can only imagine that Yennaris will be 2nd choice..
£5-£8m for Sagna will be an expected fee

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Reports that Bacary Sagna will be leaving in tomorrow's 'papers. Apparently, he's told friends that he feels "disrespected" by the club.
As said he's gone.

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Jenkinson's improvement softens the blow, but it certainly would not be a good thing if Sagna leaves. Not only would we be losing a top quality full back, but it would also be another high profile player that's left the club, and would thus continue our culture as a selling club.
Saying that, I don't what know what Arsenal could actually do to "disrespect" Sagna.

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
I think We offered him a 1 year extension as his new contract or something lol.
Jenkinson needs experience and he will be set so in an ideal world, we should keep Sagna for another season at least.

everybody always leaves...
Can't we just keep players ? how do we want to win trophies, if we just sell our best players and don't really replace them.

Jenks is getting better every game but he has long way to reach Sagna's level. Arsenal needs to renew his and Walcotts contract because both have been great this season. I know Sagna is 29 but he can play for 3-4 more years.

Thank the Arsenal board for insulting our players, I dont hate the players that left us or will.
The club is making crazy money but wont pay the stars they money they deserved. Sagna is getting the same amount of money as Squid.
Jenks look good but nothing near Sagna quality. We are not a football club anymore, which football club you find that dont care about winning?

At least at the circus you get your money worth at Arsenal you get slap in the face.
Its mainly Wengers fault thinking he can turn every Ramsey and Frimpong to next Cesc and vieira.

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
I dont get the hate toward Ramsey and Frimpong. Ramsey gives his 100% unlike others, he works harder and never stop. On the other hand Frimpong hasnt played many games for Arsenal and i dont know how you can judge him just yet.

Neither is a Cesc or a Vieira, I think that's Raptor's point.

I have no hate towards Ramsey just frustrated by him, he is simply not good enouph to start for Arsenal. How many games does he need to show that he belong at Arsenal?
How many other EPL teams he would start for?

Santi Cazorla and that's about it. Some might not agree, but I'm convinced Cazorla is a truly world class AM.

I think Jack will eventually be, or at least has the potential to be world class.
If he isnt, my only possible explanation is injury.

Fair enough it's debatable for me but he's atleast in the argument which you can't say with any of your other players.

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Can't say I didn't see this coming as soon as Jenks put in top performances.
Sagna's more than earned any length of contract through his performances on the pitch and his loyalty towards the club off it.
I'm no longer surprised by this board anymore, I'm just trying to guess who we'll be selling next year...Vermaelen maybe?

It's Walcott lol
Super Ninja edit: Actually it's Diaby, January 2006. Even more lulz worthy.

Diaby was my 2nd guess.
06...not that long ago..perhaps this is Arsenal's most not talked about problem.
Havent stuck to the same core for any reasonable length of time.

How cany any team win, when every year there are 4/5 players leaving and 3/4 players coming in to replace them. The Franchise wrote:Diaby was my 2nd guess.

Every player at Arsenal has a price tag and there is no loyalty coming from the board.
Wenger gets paid big to keep his mouth shut and make the next big player to sell.

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Read somewhere that we offered him a one year extension...
if by any chance it is true ?
it is an insult.. when will we learn which players to keep and whom to sell..?

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
It's so messed up that the original plan with the youth project was to build a group of talented youngsters who would grow together into a cohesive and powerful squad, only to have almost all of them leave the club
And for the world class debate, if Rosicky plays like he did at the end of last season, he's pretty close too. Maybe that's a knee-jerk, but IMO he was better than RvP at the end of the season. It's not like every player in every position isn't good enough. We just don't have a complete squad right now (lack of DMs is killing us atm).
As for Sagna, I still haven't seen enough evidence to convince me that he's going anywhere, unless we somehow do nothing in January and continue our shit form all season long.

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Rosicky when fully fit was always world class but a lack of fitness means no WC title. Same could be said of Diaby. Both, RVP cases.
Offering Sagna a one year extension would be looking for him to leave just to have an excuse for the inevitable outrage. I doubt it though.

There are not many players that can play like Cesc, he was someone special.Raptorgunner wrote:Exactly my point.urbaNRoots wrote:djoe26 wrote:I dont get the hate toward Ramsey and Frimpong.
