Re: The Off. Madrid want Bale thread
Spurs have no chance of challenging for the title....
1. Levy won't spend the money required, he only spends a lot of money when they make significant sales.
2. City and Chelsea will have new managers and likely to spend shit loads and i doubt Yanited will stand still.
3. They need a lot more than a Winger, striker and a right back to challenge.
Bale can only go so far with Spurs IMO and Madrid want him and want him for a starter then he would be stupid to turn them down.
You know what this means though?
Let the Madrid garage sale begin

Spurs would need to strengthen in the Summer and then challenge for the title next season. However I think it would take a lot though. Not sure they'd be able to keep up with Man Utd.

Re: The Off. Madrid want Bale thread
We could challenge for the title if we played in a vacuum and we didn't need a deep bench because no one ever got injured, but this isn't Fringe this is Football.
Given the League, the Cups, and the Champions League...our team just isn't deep enough, but the building blocks for greatness are there if we can keep them together.

Spurs could maybe just focus on one/two competitions.

Re: The Off. Madrid want Bale thread
Yeah that won't happen, because really what competition will we not focus on?
The only competition we could care less about is the Capital One Cup, but that still leaves the League, FA Cup, and the Champions League. We don't have the depth to retain our top 4 spot and actually do something meaningful in the remaining tournaments.
This is the only reason I'd be okay with selling Bale, because unlike Arsenal, we'd put the money back into the squad. While you lose that X-factor in Bale that can win games on his own, I think what we could pick up in his place would hopefully mean Tottenham wouldn't need his momentary instances of genius to secure wins.
I would rather keep him though and just address our depth issues in the off-season.

The EPL I guess would be the competition Spurs would focus on.

how will i admit that you are right if he goats? perez acting like Bale is at the level of Figo, CR, Zizou, or even Kaka pre injury with this signing, it's disgusting.

Re: The Off. Madrid want Bale thread
he is great at what he does. One dimensional one trick pony with a hammer of a shot. but bad in small spaces, not smart, cant link up, i dont even know if he ever played a through ball in his career, no vision, poor passing etc... i mean, i would rather we give 60 millions to dortmund for Reus.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Mr Nick09 wrote:how will i admit that you are right if he goats?

My opinion on Bale hasn't changed. The dude is good, we could do a lot worse than him.

Re: The Off. Madrid want Bale thread
Getting bale is just a symbol of how bad madrid is thinking as a club, EVEN with zizou as sporting manager.
Ancelotti and bale are no signs of a bright future lol.
Heynckes and Isco would be a better duo, but apparently Nor Zizou or Flo give a dam about an actual football project consisting of great football.
Heres to counter attack stagnation, losing the league, getting pwned by park the bus teams, and having to admire other great modern football schemes while your club pays for over priced one trick ponies.

He is really fast too. He and CR would be immense in transitions. Imagine the speed on either flank.
Madrid would be a wet dream for any midfielder if Bale comes!

Improving set piece plays in attack and powerful long shots are also effective tools against park the bus tactics.

This transfer market is starting to irk me.
If we really spend 70 million on bale...

As some players are linked to some big club likeMr Nick09 wrote:sooo who do you sell?LuckAndWin wrote:Bale + Ronaldo + Suarez + Isco + Heynckes = A for awesome!
Higuain = Juventus
Khedira = Chelsea
Xabi Alonso = Chelsea & AC Milan
Di Maria = PSG & Man United
€20 million plus Callejón for Isco
Kaka will stay if Ancelotti coming to Bernabeu.
He will leave due to from World Beater to Bench Warmer
Those were the reasons.
I saw someone here even place Ibra.FalcaoPunch wrote:Ehh Suarez? No thanks

No you're fine. I've seen the "Suarez lin" before your posting.
And I've only heard of Ibra rumors here tbh.

Paying 60m for Bale scares me. Levy could do wonders with that much money Bale is good, but not 60m good.
