Danish press get angry over bendtner

If Nicklas Bendtner was able to attract goals in Italy to the same extent he can attract column inches then he'd be off to a flyer with Juventus in Serie A. The Italian press were initially intrigued with this man brought over as the answer to the striker shortage at Juventus and now they're intrigued by why he isn't getting anywhere close to the team.

In his whole Juventus career so far he's been an unused substitute five times and a used substitute for all of eleven minutes against Chievo when the game was already won. He just isn't getting any chances and despite Juventus being concerned with his fitness at the outset, there seems to be little reason for that.

Whilst the situation bemuses Italian journalists, it has got Danish journalists angry. Juventus play FC Nordsjælland tomorrow in the Champions League and in a press conference before the match in Denmark the local journalists wanted to know what on earth was going on. Reported by Tuttosport, a reporter asked "But what happened to Bendtner? For someone like him, does not play even five minutes? What happened to him? Why did not you talk to him?"

Calciomercato report that 'all hell broke loose' and that the Danish press seemed offended on behalf on their countryman. Angelo Alessio, assistant to Antonio Conte, tried to calm the situation saying that Bandtner will get his turn. It didn't work and things were inflamed again with the Danish journalists refusing to accept that it's a normal situation.

At least some people are on Bendtner's side for once.

What was the point of signing him if we never use him.. He is a quality attacker and better than Matri and Quags in his current form for sure. Wouldn't put him over Gio and Vucinic but it's time to utilise him as 3rd choice.
Anyways I'm kinda sad that Quags dropped form again, he looked like his old himself for 2 matches but now.. same old story.

Quag is a good striker, he scores when he has the chance but can't put himself in scoring opportunities when the team is unable to create chances.
For matri it's kind of vise versa. He creates space for himself and runs well but can't score.
Hope bendtner can do both and it's still early to close the case as he may get his chance even tonight

Nicklas Bendtner has asked Juventus boss Antonio Conte to give him an opportunity in the starting XI.

The Danish international joined the Italian giants in the summer on loan from Arsenal, but he’s only made two substitute appearances since.

“I’m quite a good player, I have the quality to be a part of this great club,” he told TV 2 in his homeland. “I don’t see why I shouldn’t play and I hope to soon be a first team starter.

“I can play in this team and I’ve shown that. I’m not at 100 per cent, but I’m convinced that I can do well.

“I want to play more games, but I have faith – I know that will happen with ease.”

Bendtner made a 13-minute appearance against Chievo earlier this season, while he came off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Nordsjaelland on Tuesday.

someone here totally called Bendtner requesting playing time in the press. i guess we'll see if this knocks him down even further on teh pecking order. personally, i like to see him get a shot

Danish press obviously don't recognize the standard of difference between Denmark NT and Juventus. The fact that Bendtner is a Sunderland and Arsenal flop along with them not being in training to see him, spells un rightful ignorance.

That would mean dropping Asamoah and playing Chiellini as a LB (or dropping a different CB) in any case, this represents a drop in quality in all likeliness

Might as well play Bendtner, shut everyone up and give him an opportunity
