Levante's pitch last night was almost as bad as FIFA's rain pitches.

You haven't heard of Oliver Torres? Probably Spain's best player at the U19 Euros in the Summer. He's from Atleti. I'm quite sure we'd be tracking him right now, super little midfielder. Though since we have Thiago, Roberto, Rafinha and then Samper I doubt we'll bother with him.

Bought him because I heard he could get good in the game, but really just experimental purchase. I'll see how he grows. Same with Grimaldo, he's only 68 atm.

Thought it was stupid Xavi started declining already, but whatever... Thiago is good, but growing slowly, I want him ready now!

Tello or Cuenca? Well for me its easy. Tello is a beast in this game. Cuenca is an excellent dribbler like in real life and you can cause havoc, but Tello's pace, dribbling then eye for goal outweighs him. Tello was second top scorer for me.

Neymar is awesome in this game. Didn't like him in the last, too weak, but now he's real quality and I'm very happy with my forwardline. Working perfectly and scored 2, 2, 5 and 3 in my first 4 games (Neymar 5 in 4 games).

Defence is still my problem, but I think this is me and not my players... Dede's rating is a bit low, but his stats are great for what you need. Fast, great in the air, super tackler and makes loads of interceptions.

Formations? Trying to master 4-3-3, but I'm tweaking the toggles. Did this in the last one to perfect my game.

I play 4-2-3-1 every now and again to protect a lead. I had Song out for almost the whole season, so I often pushed Dede into midfield actually... Unorthodox but his pace etc. were useful here. Cesc or Messi in the hole.

Making it interesting? Well I waited to get Australia offer and took it. So now I have a challenge on my hands.

Some games on legendary definitely feel scripted.

Teams that are 19th are suddenly playing like Barcelona, impossible to create chances against and the ball keeps landing to them..

Won the league on the last day with Liverpool. :bow:

Going into the final game, Arsenal were on 80 points, I was on 78. Newcastle beat Arsenal 2-1 and I beat QPR 3-1, finished on 81 points. :bow:

Benzema 57 goals out of 56 games in all competitions and 15 assists. :bow:

Haha, it does seem that way sometimes. I was tied 2-2 with West Brom, and really could have been up 5-2 or so if not for a goalkeeper who was doing a Joe Hart vs Dortmund impression. Even after all of that, Routledge missed a sitter from literally 3 yards out (he hit it into the side netting as I passed across the 6 yard box ffs), and Graham hit the post, it bounced out at a relatively severe angle to Dyer- who hits the post where there was an open goal.

I tied West Brom cause of that. That pissed me off tbh Laughing

Nope, the name didnt ring any bells. But a google search of his picture, yes I have seen him before.

For me, Cuenca is better. I dribble better and Tello does too many bad first touches. It depends on the opponant I think. Cuenca crucified Marcelo in a cup game, but struggled more vs less open teams. Tello is inconsistent it seems for me.

Song out for the season? What happenend lol

I have got a 343 im working on. Use it when I need a goal and im struggling. RB, CB, LB, DM, CM, CM, AM, RW, LW, ST. Very offensive as the rightback and leftback do come up to join attacks. I dont like 3 at the back when they are centerback, but the wingers have no help, they have too far to run and its harder to get past players when they have no other options.

I also got a strange sort of 443 where Messi still plays center but I have a striker in front of him who I have the arrow set to go diagonal right. Sort of the reverse of a winger with diagonal inside.

I like it, Villa gets goals in that position and whoever plays LW .

I do have a problem though, Alexis and Villa are my best performing forwards...but neither play well on the right. This is why I came up with this formation. But in the end, I need to find a solution..I gotta get Pedro playing well somehow.

I prefer Cuenca over Tello myself as well (got them both on loan at Fulham), his close control dribbling is more effective than pure pace abuse. Well if you start with either of them, generally 70th minute or so I unleash the Tello - Miyaichi wing combo :bow:

Depends on use yes. I think I just didn't give Cuenca much of a look-in.. too many options. Tello as a sub is far better though. Burning for pace on the outside...

Pedro? I also had trouble at times bringing the RW into play. He went through a real dry patch for me, but I always preferred him on the right. Like you say... prefer Alexis on the left, though I've used him on the right too. Persist with him, thats what I did. Try to bring him into play and use a few dribbling moves etc. I think he's awesome in this game, very well rounded. Fast, good dribbler, good passer and great finisher. Scored some crackers with him.

Trio of Neymar-Messi-Pedro is working very well for me. All create space nicely for others and make good runs.

While I remember... Sergi Roberto is a prodigy in this game... He's so complete... Only 77 atm and still growing fast, but he's got everything and in preseason I used him and he was incredibly effective.

Suarez wanted to leave, so I just swapped them. :bow:

The actual deal was Suarez and 1m for Benzema, though Suarez was worth more than Benzema at the time I think.

Sergi Roberto...forgot about him. I wasnt playing on briging in a midfielder, how do you find time to play him though?

Start of next season I plan to have something like

Dani/Montoya, Puyol/Bartra, Pique/New/Abidal, Alba/Grimaldo/Abidal

Busi/Song, Xavi/Thiago/Iniesta/Cesc

Pedro/Cuenca or Tello, Messi/Rafinha/Cesc, Alexis/Neymar or Villa

How did you work him in?

Inter offered me 12m for Song, I said no. Countered with 20m, didnt think they would go for it.

They did, Song is gone.

I am regretting it already, he was playing fantastic as a back up.

Forget the ratings, individual stats are more important imo.

One fullback could have good passing, good ball control and just generally have good technical attributes. But said player has meh physical attributes, like speed, stamina and what not.

Another could have meh technical skills, but good physical skills.

Both guys are rated the same, but the second is likely more effective at fullback.

As Franchise said, don't care about the ratings.Gibbs turns into a beast after a season.Gets tackling and tactician traits,when you combine that with his attacking qualities he becomes amazing but he will only end up with 82/83.

I have made too many flop signings in previous FIFA's based on overall ratings, I fall for it every single year. I am intent on not doing that this year.

Probably why im struggling so hard to find a suitable centerback.

He keeps popping up in my searches for specific types but im still not convinced.

5'11 for starters, quite small. Know he can jump though.

Not very good at interceptions..which is pretty important for my style I think.

Would feel like im getting him just because he is Spanish also lol
