I'm a bit disappointed that they haven't really improved the logic AI uses in Career Mode.

They've added some good things, like cutting down on the highly unrealistic transfers and giving us the option to be sent out on loan. But there are still a number of problems.

For starters, transfers still don't make sense. Laurent Koscielny was sold to Marseille for £6mil. Mario Balotelli moved to Valencia for £20mil. Real Madrid have sold both Higuain and Benzema. Barcelona signed Rooney because Rooney randomly decided he wanted to leave. Transfer fees in general are lower and players still go wherever regardless of whether it makes sense or not.

My player is currently at Arsenal. His overall is only 76, yet he's being played every week ahead of Podolski (83), Giroud (80) and van Wolfswinkel (80). I've been put on the loan list and am receiving offers from League 1 clubs, yet at the same time also receiving offers from the likes of Ajax, PSV and PSG to leave permanently.

Then, when I ask the manager to take me off the loan list, he just flat out refuses despite me averaging close to 9.0 and having 17 goals and 15 assists in January.

It's not really game breaking, but it is really annoying.

It literally has always happened in the first transfer window of the first season every single time I've played career mode, then when I end up there one day, I have to play without them (as a player) or spend seasons saving up to buy them back (as a manager). So far so good. I noticed that navigation/team management is a bit quicker (or rather, not that slow and laggy anymore). The shooting and AI improvements are welcome!

Thankfully, Wilshere and Ramsey are still at Arsenal on my career and both are tearing shit up.

But this is yet another example of players just joining other clubs because a transfer fee - probably way lower than it should be - was agreed. It's still too easy for players to just up and leave for no apparent reason.

On an entirely unrelated note......I'm guessing that crossing ability actually now ties in with whatever the player's stat is meaning that a player with 49 crossing will always overhit the ball whereas a player with 80 crossing, you'll have more flexibility to power it up.

Can anyone confirm that?

I think Corssing overall has been made much harder. With higher overalls you have a degree of controll but for instance whipping in a corner when you've just started pro clubs is impossible.

There's WC Qualifiers and Euro Qualifiers as well as friendlies so I assume there will be an equivalent tournament for both in the game similar to the Champions Cup and the Euro League.

I decided to take a break from my player career and start a manager career with Sevilla. We're going along okay at the moment. My shooting with manual controls is still horrid, so we haven't won games we should have. A 3-1 win over Barcelona is the definite highlight so far.

I didn't do much business in the transfer market. Sold a couple of guys who I was never going to use and brought in Gama from Deportivo as backup for Navas and Diego Rubio (Sporting) and Max Clayton (Crewe) to hopefully one day replace Negredo and Manu del Moral. I really dislike Negredo, but the guy has, laughably, an overall 82 so I may as well make use of him.

Started a career with Chicago Fire, played 15 games or so, and was leading the team in goals and assists from a CDM position (probably should put it on legendary), got loaned out to Parma on a year long loan, and then Parma put me up for a year long loan right away
