I can't understand why a top5 GK would go to Spurs. There are many top teams, for example AC Milan, who need a great keeper

Even if he was promised a starting spot does Lloris really think that Fridel wouldn't at least compete for a spot?
French players are so stuck up right now for some reason and frankly they are not worth the headache.

Re: Hugo Lloris wants talks with Villas-Boas... already!
It seems AVB cant do anything right to some people, he doesnt play Lloriss everyone complains because hes one of the top GK's, he dumps Freidel, a veteran and possibly a key member of the dressing room, who is also in top form and then people will also complain and say its a repeat of Chelsea where hes dumping senior players.
I am personally undecided on either situation but i feel like he would be attacked no matter what decision he made.

Re: Hugo Lloris wants talks with Villas-Boas... already!
AVB is awful with his player management, I doubt that'll change. He decided last season that 2 starter/fringe starter players(Anelka and Alex) would have to train with U21 and not only that humiliated them by not even letting them park in the senior car park. Oh and all that was after he told each player how rubbish they were and told the senior players they were not pulling their weight.
Not that Friedel isn't a good keeper but comon, spuds are not going to spend that much on a keeper than not play him, he's there for XI football. If he was automatically selected as GK nobody would batter an eyelid.

Assou-Ekotto, who played in France for Lens, believes the former Lyon stopper is likely to have to wait for Friedel to make a mistake before he gets an opportunity to establish himself in the Premier League.
Speaking to RMC, the left-back said: "It won't be easy for him because there is competition.
"No.1 keeper in the French team or not, he will have to fight to get the position in the team. We currently have a keeper that doesn't make any mistakes, who is very well-known in Great Britain.
"To start I believe Lloris will be No.2. If our keeper doesn't make any mistakes there is no reason to change."

Laughing at the people who were complaining earlier this year now
Lloris has the #1 spot nailed down, are you happy now?
IMO AVB handled this well. And to those of you who were saying AVB is a "disastrous manager" just because Lloris didn't walk into the starting 11...

Currently tied for fourth in the EPL ahead of Arsenal, in the Europa League knockouts, and he did this all with a new team, new players that needed time to gel, and without a full defense- and is still yet to play even a half decent back line due to injuries.
Our defense this season is the following: A CB playing at LB in Vertonghen, a 20 year old in Caulker, a 35 year old past it CB who's shite in Gallas, and a 22 year old RB who is defensively average for the most part, and has been in bad form most of this season.
Not to mention we've had to play Huddlestone in place of Dembele a lot this season due to injuries.
Taking everything into account, AVB has been great so far...and it's ludicrous to think otherwise.
