They've lost their leader. I don't give a f**k if he was past it, he was still crucial in the dressing room.

Their best players in Modric & VDV.

Their best defender is out for 6 months or summat.

They have a new manager now with an entirely different first team so it'll take a couple of months for them to gel.

Even with all the money spent. None of their signings really scare me tbh. Some very good players there but none of them are elite footballers.

EDIT: Forgot to mention they still don't have any proper wingers for a 433. And they lack depth in that position now with Gio gone.

Well, few months ago there were rumors about Bale and Modric leaving.
He has managed to keep Bale , even if there were not reals offers.

Harry miserably failed to bring in quality striker . After sacking the guy he manages to bring in quality PLAYERS, to get ride of shitty players and to sell them at a good price.

Lloris - a good goalkeeper who was bought at value, nothing more nothing less
Dempsey - ...hailing that transfer as a whole is ridiculous
Dembele - good player but anything over 20 million euros would have been exaggerated as well
Sigurdsson - that's a great signing, also for that price. nothing to argue about that
Vertonghen - bought a bit under value, decent job. still has to show that he's worth it
Ade - it's no secret that city is happy to get their rejects off the payroll for pocketmoney. now he keeps earning a shitload of a wage

all in all quite effective use of resources but nothing crazy really. they failed with moutinho as well and one more good CM could turn out crucial.

and i don't think his hardcore negotiating skills brought them the cash for modric. real wanted him bad and in the end they were surely willing to pay a huge sum arround 30 mill. he wanted 18 mill for vdV as well and we got him almost for our initial offer.

Lloris is more than just a good goalkeeper.

For 7-8 million I think any number of teams from Milan (Especially Milan actually) should have jumped in.

And even other clubs with good but not neccessarily great goalkeepers, could afford to take a shot at that Price.
