Berbatov
Is it going to be a lesser league where he can just cool off his career?
Another Prem club?
Something surprising abroad like AC Milan, they could use a striker, no?
Chelsea could use an alternative to Torres. Don't know would Ferguson sell to them, though.
Perhaps a sensational return to Tottenham to ease their striker worries?
Or maybe West Ham are thinking "this guy will score enough to keep us in the league"?
I think he's a fantastic footballer and although he's 31 already he has never based his game on top notch physical form, so he should still be just fine.
Where do you see him going? Surely not staying on United's bench...
Personally I think a return to Tottenham would be great for him and the club.

Re: Berbatov
I think Berbatov is in a point in his career where he's ok with riding the bench and getting payed huge wages just to train.
I think he's going to ride out his United bench experience until they force him out.

Re: Berbatov
I hope it's not Spurs. With him they'll definitely be up there again. As of right now, with only Defoe as recognized St in their squad their chances don't seem very appealing for the top 4. Hopefully to Bundesliga, maybe back to Bayer.

No, he's said that he wants out. Not sure does he fancy a big pay-cut, though, that could make it difficult joining a smaller club.

Re: Berbatov
Spurs would probably be the best fit for him. He is still a very capable goal scorer. He should have been used more last season.

Re: Berbatov
It's such a shame about Berbatov, because technically and in terms of intelligence, he's United's second best stiker after Danny Welbeck. Unfortunately, his lack of energy (which is exaggerated by the media) has given him something of a bad reputation in the manager's mind, and for that reason, he's quite understandably always favoured Wayne Rooney over him as the lone striker.
Berbatov has recieved so much unfair criticism because of this, but Ferguson doesn't lie - it was for tactical reasons that he was left out of the team, and nothing to do with him not being good enough.
Frankly, I think that if Eric Cantona was in today's squad, he would also be left out of the team in away games and European games.

I agree that too much has been made of Berbatov's "low workrate".
You can run around like a headless chicken and get praised for that, but if you use your brain and run only when it can actually do some good you get criticized.

Re: Berbatov
Correct. I can remember that when Berbatov was playing regularly, he was all over the place linking up the midfield and attack, he was very intelligent and his passing was very accurate. It was like watching a slow Paul Scholes with a poor range of passing (that's a good thing btw).

Re: Berbatov
Hope he goes somewhere where his talent is appreciated. If Juventus fail to sign any of their intended target, I could really see them going for Berbatov. I think he'll shine with Giovinco, Marchisio and Vucinic's movement around him.

Eto'o ---- Berbatov
Plus, he could collect those fat paychecks he likes so much.

I'd love to see him come back to Tottenham...
Such a fantastic player. Criminally underrated, by the media, his manager, and a lot of people.

Re: Berbatov
Last time I heard he did say that a 5m offer could sway him out of United.
Galatasaray was interested but I don't know what happened.
For a player of Berbatov's quality to be on the bench (and with him being the PL top scorer the season before) and SAF buying van Persie to bench alongside him is just

Re: Berbatov
I'd like him to go to to CSKA Moskva but sadly it seems CSKA are in the same situation Valencia are in more or less.
Him with Ibra would be awesome to see so PSG could be another alternative, IMO.
Maybe a Serie A club.

Wenger should get him if goes to old trafford, i can't believe he hasn't show any interest. He would take the pressure off Giroud and Podolski if he signed for us.

Re: Berbatov
I remind when he was compared to Ibrahimovic
for example I had read this comparison before of Manchester United-Inter 2009
On the other hand he 's sublime technically and enough similar as type of player, but (much) lazier and inconsistent
