If the signing is true, I'm really happy

Likewise. And in typical Marotta fashion I wouldn't be surprised if we got Llorente for free if he does indeed run down his contract.
He will surely be our top goalscorer and he can create for himself as we all know. My only worry is Conte might try to make him track back and press too much.

I think it would be a waste to limit Berbatov, just let him play and goals will come. That's my personal opinion.
We'll see how he is used, he is joining the team late so it will be a difficult learning process.

Re: Dimitar Berbatov
i really hope you're right, devi... i know you have said before that you think D.B. would do well in the seria A. i agree with you, and personally, if we can sign him, i would think the only thing left in this transfer window would be to sell off/ maybe loan some players and we would be set

Very underrated player. You can call it a panic buy, but it's just a fantastic buy all around. I think he'll do very well with Juve.

Re: Dimitar Berbatov
The terms of the contract are fantastic. Low salary and for just two years and there may be a third option year. Great deal.

Re: Dimitar Berbatov
Is he the "big" attacker Juve wanted all summer?
Remember when it was Rossi, Dzeko, Tevez, in the end Toni came. Now RVP, Cavani, Jovetic, Llorente, i the end Berba?
Or will big fish come in next 2 days?

i'll take berbatov over rossi, but i get your point. i think he's the striker purchase, and we'll make due until we find just the right fit... don't ask me to define 'right fit'... that's up to marotta

This is it
Edit- ironically enough, Rossi, Dzeko and Tevez are all with the same clubs. RVP is the only one out of Cavani, Jovetic and Llorente who moved. Obviously Juventus isn't offering enough to get these players, and I'm quite content with that.

I'm not ashamed of this move. Berba has the ability to do as well as any of those names in Serie A with the exception of Cavani who is just an awesome Serie A striker. Serie A teams just can't afford to compete with the EPL, RM, Barca, and PSG. The money being thrown around is ridiculous.
Berba is a temporary solution to our problem. It sucks to not land a a young star or a striker in his prime, but this is fine. We won Serie A without a big name last season in attack and this year we add Giovinco and Berbatov. I'm more than ok with those moves.

Re: Dimitar Berbatov
If we land Bendtner and not Berbatov then Marotta must either make a BIG money move for a TOP striker.
I mean if he can't finalise a £5M deal when the only competition is one team much lower than us in our own league and Fulham then I don't know what to say.

Re: Dimitar Berbatov
while i understand if he chose Fulham for personal reasons (probably his family is settled in England and so on)....
...to refuse the chance for another year at UCL and maybe some other titles to fight to escape relegation in EPL...is beyond my comprehension.

So, did Berba forget to tell his long-time girlfriend and kids about going to Italy? Did he get home and say "we're moving to Turin" and then he got shot down?

Re: Dimitar Berbatov
Never, EVER should Fulham get a player that Juventus wants.
Even a lifelong Fulham fan should pick Juventus. I swear we are cursed when it comes to buying strikers.
We're still waiting on a Trezeguet goal scoring replacement Ffs.
