Stop Messi doing what? Messi will always contribute something to the game no matter how you try and stop him.

To stop Messi triple mark him with zonal defense, if you're good then it will almost be impossible for him to slip through. Of course your other teammates have to zonally be aware of the space they're leaving and mark those too. At this point you're obviously playing a defensive game.

For more of this consult Barcelona vs Inter CL second leg or Chelsea vs Barcelona CL first leg.

kinda but i didn't see a quick triple mark on either of those videos, just a bunch of players trying to take him on one on one.

You should try and make a literal physical wall of players just to stop him and force him to pass.

Doubt Germany have the balls to pull off what Inter and Chelsea did against Barcelona nor does Germany have the players to do such a thing.

Which is pretty weird for me to type because when I were much younger, such tactics would have been normal for Germany.

I'm amazed at how many people claim Messi flopped in those chelsea matches, Messi created about 3 good goal scoring opportunities in the first leg alone. Messi is special but there nothing he can to make fabregas or pedro bury those chances.
