Let's imagine if Ronaldo...... Empty Let's imagine if Ronaldo......

Post by _SuperFloren_ Fri Aug 10, 2012 2:38 pm

Ronaldo wins 1 Ballon d'or and 1 Champions League title in the next 2 years playing for Real Madrid. He would be the first player ever to win a Ballon d'or playing Premier League and Liga. He would be remembered as a legend in the two greatest clubs in the world. Manchester United and Real Madrid. Winning Premier, Liga, Champions league for both sides, as a leader(ballon d'òr) Should he move to Italy in 2015 (ex. Juventus) and try to win the "Mourinho Slam"??? In 2015, Ronaldo would still be 30, top form, I guess. Juventus looks like a young and good potential squad. In 2015, they can be very good. (they are already good to win Serie A, easily). In the European football today. Ronaldo and Messi are way superior players, they can make a normal-good team, Champions league contenders. Ronaldo could win Serie A, easily with Juventus, and trying, why not, the Champions league crown.

Pd: Forget that Juventus havent enought money to sign Ronaldo. Or Real will never sell, Ronaldo. What would be greater?? Beating records in one squad and win amount of titles like Messi at Barca. Or win every league and make noise in the three biggest leagues?? Some people says Messi is the best ever thanks to what he achieved At Barca, and other people says Mourinho is the best ever because he won every european and different top leagues.....

Yeh I think he could something similar to Mourinho. Winning in each of the top 3 leagues. At 30 it's possible Ronaldo could move on and Serie A would be a good option prior to America.

If he was ever to leave Real Madrid and go to a new league it should be Bundesliga, imo.

well i always liked this debate:

is it considered more difficult/deserve more praise to win trophies with multiple top teams or to stick with one team?

i say the former, but sticking with one team also has its merits and deserves a different type of respect.

@gondov

Ronaldo is not a money hunter like Ibra. For example he would never leave AC Milan (in his prime) to join PSG for bigger wages. The guy loves football too much.

He's definitely one of the best Man Utd have had, however I think if he was to of stayed longer then he would of been a legend.

How would cherry picking the best teams in every league be a sign of anything?
If Daniel agger joined city, juve and then Madrid, would hat make him a special player?
Cr7 overhauled a mourinho inspired Chelsea and europemwith utd, in a team that failed to qualify from their cl group 2 years prior
That will alWays be his biggest achievement over joining a billion dollar squad or cherry picking the best Italian side in any given season

No man utd fan consider him as a legend.

George Best, Bobby Charlton, Ryan Giggs, Dennis Law, Bryan Robson.

These are man united legends. Ronaldo was one of the most talented players to play for United but he is not a man united legend in the end

First of all, stop trying to hype Ronaldo.

Second of all, he's not a Man U legend.

Third of all, madrid and manchester united are not the two greatest clubs in the world. AC Milan has 7 CL's so I don't see how ManU are above them.

Lastly, you and I both know that Ronaldo winning another CL and more league titles in different countries will not make him an all-time great. He's a goalscorer and that's pretty much it.

And your last paragraph makes no sense, you're comparing Messi's achievements to Mourinho's.

Why is winning cls a sign of how big a club is?
Utd are huuuuuggggeeee, us. Barca and Madrid are the three biggest clubs in the world by far
The scope is enormous

Why is Ronaldo not a United legend, he's the only player in United colours to have ever won the World best player award and his time at United was one of the most successful periods in the club, with Ronaldo playing a very key role, qualifies as a legend in my opinion.

Then you don't know what a legend is.
If he won't be considered an icon of the club many years after he leaves, then he's not a legend. Plus u gotta give more heart and soul to a clubh before leaving. He left Man U pretty quickly...

Ronaldo spent 6 successful years at United, that's more than the time Ronaldo da Lima and Zidane spent in Madrid, and I believe he gave his all till his last match for United.

How is Cristiano not a United legend? If he wins La Decima for us and continues at this level for a few more seasons, hell, he is a Madrid legend, and I daresay it is more difficult to become a legend at Real than in Manchester.

I wouldn't really consider him a legend as United made the CL Finals w/o him just as easily as they did with him plus he got destroyed by Messi in one of them when he played in it as well.

As for winning a Balon d'or or CL at Madrid, that is expected at that club. If your there best player and you don't win one of the two they will ship you out of town so I think he would have to win multiple there to be a legend.

HE picked 2 clubs with pretty high standards to be a legend. For example on the Radio the other day they were saying Rooney wouldn't get into an all time United team and he has been to 3 CL finals with them and won tons of EPL titles. And Madrid is even harder to be a legend at.

This doesn't make sense, it's like saying Guardiola wouldn't be considered a legendary Barcelona coach if Barca wins the treble this year with Tito. In that final Ronaldo seemed like the only United player willing to play on the night in the first 15 or so minutes, after Eto'o scored it was Barcelona all the way, Ronaldo was probably United's best player on the night.

When have we shipped out our best player because he didnt win the Balon d'Or? Youre right that we have high standards, but you are exaggerating. Ronaldos numbers are insane, if he adds the eulsive 10th and keeps it up he is a legend by all accounts.
