Was hoping Malaga would continue to buy top players, hopefully it still happens somehow. That way they can overachieve.

Inter has a good squad and a young ambitious manager
Roma has re-tooled decently and will certainly improve on last season's finish

On paper it is Juventus and Napoli at the top and then a whole mess of clubs behind

Good call on Fiorentina, they will certainly be better than last season (can't do much worse)

Bund: Dark-horse = Schalke, underachieve Leverkusen.

EPL: Dark-horse = Arsenal, underachieve Liverpool as usual.

La Liga: Dark-horse = Atletico.

Seria A: Dark-Horse = Roma, underachieve Fiorenina

CPL: Dark horse = Manchester City, Underachievers = REAL MADRID.

i dont think there can be a true 'dark horse' in a league- at least in the sense that a dark horse can win, definitely not the top4 leagues.

but teams that i think will do better than expected:
-bremen, arsenal, valencia, fiorentina

worse than expected:
-spurs, madrid, milan, juve

Hamburg is my long-term darkhorse. They bottomed-out last year and are picking up the pieces with a good amount of young talent. It might not happen this year, but it'll come around.

I'm going to say Roma.I reckon we have what it takes to get a spot in that top 3,heck if Conte ends up getting banned for a few months I'd say we could even have a good chance of the Scudetto.But we need another CB though imo.

Anyway the Dark Horse of the Premier League IMO will be Southampton, can see them getting top half easy.

As for the Dark Hoarse, i'm going for Spurs i think they might really underachieve this season. Especially if they fail to replace Adebayor and Modric properly who both seem to be on their way out for different reasons.

Dark horse will be Arsenal can see them proper giving a challenge, if they make the rumoured signings.

Hoarse will be Liverpool although it was probably custom for them to finish around the bottom end of the Europa spots now, it's similar to all them years ago when the geordies expected to finish in CL spots but never did silent

Dark horse CL maybe City but could see PSG going far because Carlo is a GOAT. Before Conte ban I would maybe have thrown Juve in but I know its only 3 months, but they could finish second and get slapped in the second round.

Hoarse in CL but also of meh liga will be Madrid won't be able to captislise on the Barca slip ups no more, hopefully they will draw a top team in the knockouts again and lose like normal.

That defense seems pretty suspect in my opinion.

My darkhorse is surely Newcastle. If the Debuchy deal happens and they get another CB I can easily see them snatching a CL spot ahead of Spurs or Chelsea. (oh yes I did)

I'm personally waiting until the transfer window closes before judging us.

If we sign the 3 players we need then im confident of at least challenging, but if not then we might struggle.

I'd be happy with another top 6 finish tbh.

It will be very difficult to get top 4 with the likes of yourself and Chelsea strengthening significantly.
