Daily Mail say Ramsey (Resting after Olympics), Bendtner and Squillaci not in 24-man squad in Germany. Rosicky, Wilshere, Frimpong & Sagna obviously injured. Giroud, Podolski, Van Persie and Cazorla all in squad all the media confirming. Mirror says Arshavin in squad.

If Miyaichi is left behind, it's probably because he's on the verge of going on loan somewhere. Would seem a bit strange for Gnabry to be chosen over him, otherwise, as good a talent Gnabry is.

Miyaichi is supposedly close to a Wigan loan deal so I'm not surprised at his omission. A bit surprised at Bartley's, thought he was set to be our 5th CB. Maybe with the awful pre-season he had, AW concluded that he definitely needed playing time.

I wouldn't call his pre-season awful. He's a young player who, even if he is officially part of the first team, needs to play regular football. He won't get that being 5th choice.

I am not comfortable sending both Miquel and Bartley out on loan. I hope we are doing this with an option to call back the player in an emergency.

I know we have four quality central defenders (yes, I mean Djourou as well - he was brilliant season before last till he got injured) but given our usual injury crisis, it would not hurt to be better prepared.

Miquel and Bartley going on loan probably means that Squillaci couldn't find a team and will be our 5th choice. Neutral

There's not one single photo of Arteta in Germany, I'm wondering if it's just a coincidence or Arteta didn't travel in Germany at all - if so why? Imagine if Arteta is injured that makes 4 Arsenal midfielders that will miss start of the season. Neutral

Arteta was all dandy at Cazorla's photo shoot so nothing is pointing to the fact that he's injured. I hope it's just mere coincidence that he's not on those training photos.
If not, then Sahin's arrival seems even more sensible than I first thought.
