Future of Inter
It seems Inter will not spend freely anymore (as in the past).. The days of Ronaldo , Vieri etc... are long gone.
So far Inter spend wisely and to some "cheap".. But think for a second here , Yes we all want to have the best players.. Money doesn't grow on trees and it's an option we can discard for the near future.
Inter are working hard to become a financially stable club.. We all saw what happened to Fiorentina , Parma and Lazio who once had world class teams. All went lost due to being bankruptcy. Serie A didn't lose it's feathers through Calciopoli (although it helped aswell) but Serie A was in a downwards spiral once teams couldn't compete anymore financially.
Although we'll see how strict these FFP rules will become , but one thing is for certain the board/management are making sure that the club is protected in the long run.
Now it's the time to give youth a chance , Inter have some of the best youth set ups in Italy.. Players like Mariga , Coutinho all deserve patience and a chance.

Re: Future of Inter
it depends on what gasperini wants to do. he wants to win matches and keep his job. not develop our youth players a bit then get fired
he'll probably use them more than Leo, but less than rafa

Re: Future of Inter
I agree with most but not all of what you said..
I feel that if we were to go down the path of "youth" then we should focus on our own academy and bringing up our own young players.
In terms of transfers, the prices are too inflated right now.. we will never be able to buy starters from top clubs anymore.. our best hope is to buy from smaller clubs, co-ownership deals within italy, and other top (foreign) teams' reserve players..
20 mill is probably our limit for a MAJOR transfer.

Moey this is what I would like us to do , give OUR youth more chances.. Mariga and Coutinho are now 2 players promoted to the first Squad. (so they are the first names to pop up)
There is quite a talent pool to chose from and develop from our own youth systems aswell.

Re: Future of Inter
I kinda meant create talent through our academies. Both Mariga and Coutinho were brought in for the senior squad.

benedetti, natalino, crisiteg, obi, destro, dell'agnello, biraghi, alibec, knasmuller, romano, faraoni, nwankwo...
we have a loooot of talent in our youth ranks, they just arent given chances, they are used as bargaining pieces...

thats the thing.. our business model will involve promoting the wonderkids and using the rest as bargaining chips for other people within italy..

Re: Future of Inter
I think we should sell Sneijder and Eto if we get near 40 million each, and sign some young talents like Banega, Benatia or Hazard and maybe swap eto for Tevez ..

I think Branca already said that Tevez would be impossible to get because of his high wages.
But Banega and Hazard.

Yes, and become an Arsenal with young players that don't win anything.

why that? we will still have one of the most experienced squad in europe and we will significally reduce our wages, if we don't sell or swap, maybe we will end up regretting it, just as we did with maicon!!

yes and with Gasperini as a coach, Milito will be back to his old Form soon, it is already a good sign that he made the Copa America Squad
btw: I just read on Banegas official Facebook wall, that he will decide his future after the Copa America and Inter and Tottenham are the most interesting destinations, so let's hope our Argentine players will convince him to come to Inter

Re: Future of Inter
I swear if Banega goes to any club for under 25 and it's not Inter i'll cry!
We want young talented players who could transform our midfield inter says, well here you got a young talented player who's for sale and is Argentinian!
A mid trio of Sneijder Cambiasso Banega would boss seria a and could challenge in europe.
