Pirlo the Key to an Italian Victory? Empty Pirlo the Key to an Italian Victory?

Post by BeamsvilleGooner Sun Jul 01, 2012 9:52 am

A mate of mine wrote a piece on why Pirlo is the key for an Italian victory today. Whether I agree or not, I thought was a good explanation. If interested, http://lastwordonsports.com/2012/06/30/8083/

I tend to agree, but I just can't see Italy controlling the mid at all today, Pirlo or not. Maybe I'm wrong.

doesn't matter how long team can keep the ball as long as 9 out of 10 passes are either back pass or side pass , he can throw two good through ball and if we get lucky to find Balotelli and Cassano on their good day to convert them would be enough for Pirlo to salvage the game but of coarse it can always go either way
